As a tank you really don't notice small numbers at all because the amount of damage done numbers fly by fast and the text is fairly small. Tank honestly feels the same as a dps but you have the boss hitting you instead.

Warrior has been my main for 2 months now, and yes, i'm a lowbie and a newbie, but i've had experiences with tanking in other MMOs. So i have a bit of knowledge on the various types of players you run across. My gold rules are this:
1. You pull it, you own it until you kill "it" or "it" kills you
2. As a tank, i set the pace for the dungeon
3. If you don't like it, no one is stopping you from leaving
4. If you want to pull ahead of what i'm currently holding aggro on, then see rule #1
Most people are nice and willing to work and pay attention, as to not have issues with my rules and i don't even have to say what my rules are. I figure its common sense.
Mained tank since I played in 2.0, I personally love it
My thoughts on tanking though: People can either love it or hate it, rarely inbetween
..As for Drk, my views on that (Though a little off topic I know): People will play it at first just to see how it is, like everything new, people get hyped over it, but then the DPS will remember that tanks do low numbers, and will have to be relied on, thus turning them off from Drk and never touching it again..In short: The people who already tank and love it will love Drk, the people who don't will play it for a little then drop it because it's a tank, and people hate tanks :C
This, I agree with.
A large group of people seem to think Drk is going to be the Elixir that fixes Queue times and all that. Really, people will play it and in the end, it may convert a few (or snag some new players that like it) but everyone else will go back to their respective jobs, or tanks will main it etc etc.
This issue is something that is nigh impossible for SE to "fix". This issue goes down to the core of mmorpgs that use the holy trinity. Which is probably why you see more games not using it or branching away from it.
Everybody will level up DRK up to level 60, then go back to their original jobs, most likely. They just don't like the role. The available info is contradictory at the same time because THIS shows that PLD/GLD is the most played class...? Yet there's a tank shortage? I wouldn't give my personal experience as a tank here because it's just me liking the role, but it's hard for me to determine what's the reason people don't play it. The only guys I've ever asked told me because they feel it's boring.
I just want them to fix Shield Swipe, and give me some spells to use. That'd be super rewarding for me.
This x1000. Cannot like enough
