Home Point return problem (on disconnect or crash)

So, I did some testing and set my home point in Uldah. I noticed that if my character died during a guildleve if I hit return it sends me back to the guildleve Atheryte. I ran into a problem tonight as I was nearly completing a leve the server crashed. My internet was fine, I was able to login to FFXIV and see my characters, but was unable to login to my character.

When I logged back into the game several minutes later, my character was dead. I hit return and found myself in Uldah, my home point.

Now, I can understand Guildleves are mostly used for solo/casual players and the reasons why if you die, you return to the Atheryte. You wouldn't want to go to your home point every time you die during a leve, you could never finish them and lower the difficulty as a solo player.

So, my question to Square-Enix is why the game forgot I was in a guildleve on my logging in? If Square-Enix can fix this issue in a future patch would make me feel a little more confident about if I was suddenly disconnected or experience another server crash. Not only was I denied the completion of my guildleve, I now have to spend double the anima to get to the same location.

My solution for this till it will get fixed is to set my homepoint every time I do leves at location. Just in case, for the sake of Anima points.
