How do I find a static raid group?

And reddit is suppoed be better in what way? It is just more forums of gibberish. Is this not the primary FFXIV forums? Shouldn't straight forward stuff like finding a static happen here on these forums? Redirecting people is just more smoke and mirrors and the OP of that thread has been radio silent since so who knows what came of it.

There are a number of reasons why there are fan communities that operate away from official forums. Would you like me to spell out to you why that is?

-Official forums may have moderation rules/policies that some players find disagreeable.
-Accessibility can be better on unofficial community sites. The official forums aren't super pleasant to use on a mobile device, for example.
-There is also no live chat client interface on the official forums, whereas unofficial sites may have their own VoIP servers or IRC chat.
-Sites like Reddit have features that the official forums do not. The live Nexus light bonus thread is one example.

Those are reasons just off the top of my head.

And the OP from that thread probably didn't need these forums in the first place.

He got info about where he could better find what he was looking for. I think his thread on these forums helped him out in that respect.

It's okay, every time someone bumps this, it's more exposure for someone's plight with the potential of someone helping ~.^

And for people who are wishing to get into statics, one of the best ways to help is to give them more exposure and see if any one has openings for them. While this is quite luck dependent, but if a player posts on the OF, Reddit, fansites, etc. and the thread is continually bumped over a period of time, it helps them out indirectly.

So much false self-indignation and putting word in my posts that I've never even written. Find a post where I've ever written that. If by simply pointing to the facts and these threads being the evidence themselves gives you that impression, that is not my doing. And there is no positive evidence that the FCoB groups even looked in these forums and extended an invitation to help anyone.

Contrast that with threads when people ask for FCs to join or servers to switch to. Those threads get a lot of people offering and all sorts of people trying to play up their FC or server.

there is no evidence that you can see. also, your "facts" are not facts. case in point: the other thread where vygun made it into final coil. you tried to downplay the help he got. really? people point someone on how to do something, and then you turn around and say "oh hey, he probably didnt need the forums anyway." said it before and saying it again; the official forums are not the only way people find parties.
