Unfortunately finding a static is not easy, nor is it to start one, or keep one going. And I doubt switching servers help that much either, because although there are some helpful players, the truth of the matter is that time is the limiting factor in general. See this thread started before thanksgiving:

How many weeks have it been? How many offers for LS, FC, or statics? 0 basically. Where are all the helpful raiders? And it both frustrating and demoralizing to see the clear sellers on the PF at the same time. I don't how much this helps, although this is probably the realistic approach:

In another mmorpg it took me a month or two, to find a real static raiding group. I have build a friendship with them and we stayed toghter for two years (I quit the game). I wish you good luck on this journey.
The trouble is friendship is difficult thing to quantify or make into a science. It is hard to make friends in an unequal situation, where as they have group and you are on the outside, especially when people are not more open or more inclusive. The important thing to remember is that in the process don't forget where you started and don't turn to the dark side once you do have a group and look to exclude others.
