How do I find a static raid group?

I'm a DRG and I know how to play my class. None of the high-level content I've encountered is particularly difficult to me; I can dodge and follow mechanics pretty much 100% of the time. However I have a really hard time clearing anything because I can never get a good group. I've tried asking my FC for help putting together a static but no one seems interested. I'm just curious how I should go about finding one, because I'd really like to be able to raid but it's difficult to clear content when everyone isn't playing their jobs perfectly. Titan Ex in particular was a nightmare because most PUG's can't seem to deal with the slim margin for error, so even though I easily cleared the mechanics every time, it felt like I must have done it 80 times before I got a competent group.

I've seen a few static groups advertising in PF but it seems like most want you to have cleared up to T9 or something but without a dedicated group I'm not sure if I'll ever get past T5.

    I'm on Diabolos btw.

I am finding it hard to find one on my server. I too been trying to form a static group for weeknights, but I cannot seem to get more than 4 people from my FC. I been kind of sitting around for the last month doing nothing, but farming poetics for gear. All I can suggest is shout in populated zones for help locating and post on your server forum.

How many weeks have it been? How many offers for LS, FC, or statics? 0 basically. Where are all the helpful raiders? And it both frustrating and demoralizing to see the clear sellers on the PF at the same time. I don't how much this helps, although this is probably the realistic approach
There is one helpful raider here btw who offered help across the server.. Having 0 isnt applied in here compared to that thread.. So stop being pessimistic..

Post / check in PF, post in the forums under your server section, shout from time to time in Mor Dhona. Just keep on trying and you'll eventually find one.

Ok well, I can tell you now you won't be able to form a static of newbies to clear T5. Most people have either cleared or don't care enough to. Instead of trying to get together a group of people new to the fight you should probably advertise in PF that you need serious help clearing T and you would want some people who seriously know their stuff to join. Some people flock to it for the 100 soldiery because you can clear T5 in your sleep.

And if your FC is not helping you clear T5 then it might be time to start looking for an FC that can. :/ Once you clear T5 you should start joining progression groups for T9 until you get the clear.

I dont raid anymore, but whenever I needed a static raid group and I could not find it in my inner circle or guild, I would venture somewhere else and recruit others who wanted the same as me. I am sure there are others like you who are looking for a static group and here are some advice for you:

    1. Be clear on what your goal is, what gear the other players need to have and which classes and roles you are looking for.
    2. If you want it to be a static one, then you need to build a relationship with these guys and girls. Alot of players act as if the gamers are npc's and this is wrong. Saying Hi and Bye is not enough. Talk with them, get to know them and build a friendship. If you are friends with them, then you have found yourself a static for life (or atleast how long they are paying for their subsciption). You could ignore the whole friendship part, but if they like you, then they will not hop to another group.
    3. Know that other players will be better or worse then you and they might not have the desirable ilevel gear, be reasonable to them and hope that they do the same for you.
    4. Make a schedule and stick to it. If you guys are raiding on Friday's evening, then do not change the schedule on the last minute to Saturday's evening. You might be able to do the run, but others might be busy with other things. You need to think as a team and less as a shepard with his sheeps.

Now to answer your question. You can recruit others via:
    1. Official forum and the server section.
    2. Unofficial sites like Reddit.
    3. Advertise in the game via a Linkshell or PartyFinder.
    4. Make a forum or a site where players can come and take a look on what your offering.
    5. Ask around in the FC and Linkshells that you are a member of.

Just remember there are others like you and alot might have given up hope in finding a static raid group. You need alot of patience, because this is will take time. In another mmorpg it took me a month or two, to find a real static raiding group. I have build a friendship with them and we stayed toghter for two years (I quit the game). I wish you good luck on this journey.

Unfortunately finding a static is not easy, nor is it to start one, or keep one going. And I doubt switching servers help that much either, because although there are some helpful players, the truth of the matter is that time is the limiting factor in general. See this thread started before thanksgiving:

The trouble is friendship is difficult thing to quantify or make into a science. It is hard to make friends in an unequal situation, where as they have group and you are on the outside, especially when people are not more open or more inclusive. The important thing to remember is that in the process don't forget where you started and don't turn to the dark side once you do have a group and look to exclude others.

you keep referencing that thread, but fail to even think it possible that the person who made the thread took the advice of others and began advertising in game? or possibly already got a static? just because you dont see something happening doesnt mean something isnt happening. back in march this past year, i made a thread looking for a static. a whoping 3 people replied that they were also looking for one. i also advertised in game and found the remaining people there. not everyone reads the forums, and things can/will happen without you knowing. also, your general attitude about raiders is pretty bad. what happens on your server is not the end all be all that happens on all others, stop thinking it is.
