can we please talk about character customization options?

I'm in total agreement that this game definitely needs some new character creation options. However before I focus on where SE needs to improve, I do want to point out that it took WoW over 2 years to introduce any new character creation options/hairstyles. So in a year and a few months since its launch I think there's been over a dozen new hairstyle options. I have to commend SE for this as many games do not add new options in each patch. However, I still feel like there is much room for improvement.
The delivery of these new hairstyles was a big no-no IMO. I don't think they should have just made one new hairstyle available per race each patch.
My biggest concern is SE's comment that they did not receive feedback on the face paints. Those weren't really that big of a deal to make a comment on nor were they "permanent" options people would like as they are halloween themed. SE needs to add more eyebrows,face options,scars,makeup, face paint, hairstyles, accessories, hair types,etc.

They didn't get feedback on the face paint, because what they added wasn't what anybody wanted. I applaud them for adding what they have, but maybe if they polled their playerbase to figure out what they want instead of blindly chucking this or that and seeing what sticks, maybe they'd have better results.

Also, I second the need for blush and eyeshadow. Multiple face paints please!

They should make a "character customization patch" some time in the future wich will focus on that matter. As it is now we all look like clones of each other. Thank god we have the glamour system at least to differentiate a bit. We don't need only new hairstyles for all races/genders but we also need more face options and body options. In this regard this game is really poor. I hope they can use our money from the cash shop to push the development even further.

The cash shop money is used for two things:

1: Cash Shop Items
2: SE profits

Neither generates any actual content for the game. The content they do introduce gets stripped down for Cash Shop monetisation (Weddings, Dyes, Odin).

• Now talking about vocal opinion of players of cash shop, especially some worried opinions

• Reiterates no pay to win

• Minions sold in cash shop? NOT EXCLUSIVE to cash shop (I think, he said ingame and I may have misunderstood)

• Using those funds to create more vanity/minions/etc. that won't just be cash shop-exclusive, or doing other things like adding the new EU datacenter. Want to use those profits to give back to the community

Although atm i'm taking this with a grain of salt since we have yet to see those minions in game, (along with the new red/blue/green metallic dyes)
And we now have slight "pay to win" in game thanks to the sales of Premium and gold weddings in game.

On Topic, I really hope they would do a focus on vanity and player customization in the future, the bug fix they did to female Roegadyn Lips was a great start! I really hope they fix those baldspot in almost every hairstyle though.

I'll have to check that out tonight as work blocks reddit, but I'm sad to say I don't trust those kind of announcements from Yoshi-P any more. This time last year, I wouldn't have made that statement, but he's changed his mind or told us that we misunderstood him too often now.

eg Minions 'Not Exlusive to Cash Shop' could just mean that they will be tradeable like bands are.

The other points (not P2W, Minions not exclusive etc) are already wrong. They have released tradeable items already (+dyes) and the minions are exclusive to cash shop.

False Moustaches & gimmicky Halloween face-paints are a nice gesture... but I think you're misunderstanding what we want.

We want 'natural' & 'cool' beards/moustaches, facial-features/paints, & tattoos.

The reason you didn't receive feedback on the Halloween face-paints is because we didn't ask for anything of the sort.

That wasn't a solution. Please don't take our lack of feedback with regards to those face-paints as meaning we don't want new face-paints.

Quite the opposite, we want less "kiddy" face-paints.
