Boss Fates (They are even noted as Notorious Monster Fates), Treasure Hunts and The Hunt are all attempts to add NM and HNM to FFXIV in non-problematic ways.

Gear does not drop from Fates, Maps are limited to one per 18 hours and The Hunts only give out Marks and Logs for untradables to prevent bots from farming them.
