So Devs Blitzball

I've been bringing this up since beta and I would love for it to be implemented. The reasons why is because it would be a fun game to kill time and time is money for you SE. More time I spend on your game more money you'll get.
I think this would be a good edition to the gold saucer. Whenever this will be implemented. You can ever put some stuff in the cash shop and I'll buy it.... Seriously I will.
Those items may include Tidus AI of course Wakka or even Brother
Different blitzball balls
And even prizes from Tournaments
You can put a 1v1 for people to go against eachother. So we can waste time together lol.
I will honestly spend countless hours on Blitzball. So please Devs hear my call upon to you. Make it happen or try to consider it.
You could also put prizes such as mounts or minions. Ik people would say hell no because some people might not like blitzball but it's an option for you to consider.

It could be neat to have cities get excited about competitions, add to the living world. For example in game I already would like to see cities get excited* about wolf den matches (or at least in the future when tournaments and ranking gets serious). *Banners, city pride, party tents like FFXI, confetti, ect.

Chocobo racing is another great place to work upon.. I think a sport makes complete sense in a living world and in that way it would fit well in an MMORPG, blitzball could be interesting specially with all the 3d aspects and slotting abilities would not be too bad (need to make a blitzball class, for the sphere shot and all that). Might convolute the duty finder and other activities though. Maybe we should see if they can pull off chocobo racing first.

Technology wise I think it could work if we ever visit/steal/or ally with the Garleans (would be weird to come out of no where, otherwise you'd have to somehow find an Allagahn Stadium XD).

I didn't particularly like blitzball so I wouldn't use this.

That being said, it's a great idea. Sports do add an extra dimension to the game. Indeed there could be tournaments, teams, rankings, perhaps even a betting system so those of us who don't like to play it can still participate in their own way. RP-ers could have interviews, or be sports hosts. So many possibilities.

Chocobo racing is coming and I'm looking forward to it, but for this to truly feel like a world we need more than just one sport so why not blitzball We'll have to see what the Gold Saucer brings.

The game doesn't charge by the hour. They actually make less money the more time you spend in the game because of server costs.

And even ignoring my hatred for FFX and Blitzball, that minigame is part of FFX's very lore - it wouldn't even fit into FFXIV at all (given the fact this is the same reason the development team stated they won't add Terra's Theme as the BGM for the magitek armour, as it's 'too much a part of the earlier title and thus wouldn't fit in FFXIV' (paraphrased), then that's a pretty clear indication Blitzball will never be coming to FFXIV thankfully.

There are other minigames coming with the Gold Saucer though so it's not like FFXIV won't have fun diversions to play.
