    i say no to the claiming system, though i don't really want nm's and hnm's that i need to sit around to claim. rather it be farming mobs for pop items and instances yes, but i still want competition, and still want things like sky and sea, with nm's that keep poping like our nm's we have now. i don't want it all instances, make nm's pop all day long quick, give them low drop rates, make all the mobs around them or with them drop items that help with drop rates, collect enough of them to maybe give it a max of 20%drop rate or whatever. make it competition but without any of the sitting around and waiting.

    the claim system itself is bad, even with normal mobs. anyone play allods? sounds like the same system, if people are on u'r camp u'r basically fighting for mobs, mage starts nuking mob as a mele goes running to it, who ever made biggest dent gets the exp and kill. i don't like this, even if it shares the kills and drops fairly, it creates a i'm here at a camp u'r at and i'ma still stay and kill u'r stuff mentality. it's not helping others, it's taking others stuff, if people over camped in ffxi, this just makes it even easier to mess with people.

    seems like a cop out system made cause they can't make 2 type of claim systems, 1claim 1 group is how it should be, if i'm killing the buffalo nm? other groups can come in and start doing damage to it and steal the drops? that don't work for me, and if they come in and both get drops? that is weak too. all instanced? this is gonna be horrible. but i'm looking forward to seeing what the larger scale endgame will look like, this is what i'm after, this is what i expect to be top notch and decider of games fate either way.

    so ...lol NO for claiming system, no for all instanced, no for waiting for pops for nm's and claiming wars with bots. yes to the rest, fix what we had in ffxi to not need these things ...don't scrap the best things of them ...

    Yes pls more info from the devs would be great, Reinhart does a wonderful job of translating for us (thank you) but i feel its still not 100% clear.
    allowing us to claim more than one mob at a time and for full xp is a must! I am a little concerned they are saying its a bug i mean its been a problem since day one if its a bug whys its taken so long lol!!

    As much as I enjoy the idea of people being able to help without killing the drops, I feel games that are centered entirely around Instanced Content are hollow and lacking in the social aspect that are the sole basis for playing an MMO. If you want to only play with your friends and never have to compete with others then you should probably be playing and offline game or perhaps GW or DDO.

    You have my support, with the Insistence that there should be a help option that does ruin drops.

    Randomize spawn points on open world NMs within a limit, so that a full party isn't instantly grouped together at pop.

    Make more than one NM pop at the exact same time so that even though a claim is missed another mob (or several lesser mobs) can be taken down for semi-decent drops, even if pop is in mor dhona and other NM is in shroud.

    Fix the thing(sorry haven't tested recently if this is still around) where if you claim and die your pt members can't group up while you lay there and it stays claimed.

    At the very least, it should de-drama some situations because if you want people on the internet to be civil, you need to go off the grid.

    I'll prolly be cool with w/e as long as I get to fight something really hard. ( Much harder then what has been released)

    As far as the type of content goes. I'd like to see all of it. Having everything all instanced or vice versa isn't a good idea. I like some variety in my diet. It was one of the reason FF11 kept me playing for years and not bored of it quickly.

    If all you have to do is throw numbers at something it will be boring, but I'm gonna give SE a little more credit and assume they have something a little different in mind. So far most of the changes have been in a positive direction. I don't really understand what they have in mind for strategic play on the world bosses, but I'm sure it's got to be more then a random mob of people killing something

    Honestly, I think the post is easily misread. What it looks like (to me, anyway) is that Matsui is talking about two different types of situations, split thus:

    Situation 1: We’re making adjustments so we can drop the claiming system. This means others not in party can attack the same monster and RMT like players can try to take over so making it the party with the first attacker can only get the loot.

    Situation 2: For contents with alliance we’re thinking of a system where the loot is evenly distributed or changing amount of loot depending on amount of damage given.

    Unless you think of them as two separate systems they are completely contradictory. I don't know what is meant by "contents with alliance" but I don't think it has anything to do with what was said prior to that (about open world claiming and sharing the battle). Why would he make a point of describing that they understand that RMT could take advantage of a "shared battle" system ("RMT like players can try to take over") and then offering a solution ("so making it the party with the first attacker can only get the loot"), only to jump right into saying that the team that does the most damage gets the loot (meaning it would be RMT susceptible and the claiming player would be irrelevant, complete opposite of the original point being made)? "The party that claims first gets the loot, except they don't." I just don't think that was what the message was supposed to express.

    Note, for clarity: When I say two situations I don't mean that I think they are debating which of the two to implement. What I mean to say is that I think they are referring to open world claiming (with potential outside help) and alliance content as two separate entities that would both be in the game.

    is not a bad idea.... BUT only as an option. i want be able to choose if i want to share my claim or not.... and the loot distribute depends on dmg given.... come SE, dont forget the fisrt skill system sucks for that reason at the release... so, you are given more equipment to the pro-no-life players, if i claim a NM and a megaplayer hit too and doo more dmg than i he will have more probs to get the drops? come on, please no. What about if i am just having fan soloing a NM and some ppl come and screwme becouse the want to and start to hit in my solo battle. no please. NO.

    I just recomend a system like FFXI, a /help command BUT whiout the penalisations of skills and drops. and for behest use autogroup please, even if we are already in other party, let us autogroup on behest.

    EFF THIS! Whats Wrong With Raids Dropping Gear And A Claim System....3 minutes to decide on gear is fail (why have timer at all) ive seen a few times people are discussing loot and get removed from dungeon only to have the loot effed over.....BTW YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT CRAP WAY TO MUCH THIS GAME IS GOING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION NO ONE LIKES YOUR OPINIONS!
