Yeah open world content where I have to sit around and wait for your buddies to finish it first before I even get a chance to try. Oh boy, sounds like fun.
Also adding some kind of /noaid command would help with the griefing.

If ypu guys go back to the full article i think my memory is a bit fuzzy on this one but that clami structure the op is talking about is for large scale dy dynamis like pve not open world mobs. Plus with current nm timers does it really matter anyways?
I fail to see why ppl vote "no" for the remove the claim system. With the new NM will implant as Yoshida mention long ago, their spawn rate might take longer time and they are high rank NM and stronger, with the current claim system the monster will only adjust so that 1 full party can take it down, if the claim system is remove, the NM can adjust so that 5 full party is standard need to take it down so my conclusion:
1. 1 full party take down NM or alot of parties to take down NM (imo alot f parties to take down NM is healthy for your LS because I am sure your LS have more than just 1 full party, this call "clan raid")
2. if you can take down a high rank NM with less party than the stadnard, that is challenge
so as last words: as long the claim system remain the game will never expand itself big enough for you to enjoy. Regard ks you can ask SE to add PK system and deal with it and fix the loot system as roll and item become untradeable after equip. I am sure most of you guys who play and talk in this forum are 18+, so dont cry because the other ks your mobs like a 5 years old kid k ?

Once again, the FFXIV community complaining about something before they know how it actually works or experience it. -_-
The open claiming idea, where everyone can join in the fight against your HNM, seems so bad to me I couldn't imagine it will be implemented the way it sounds for one second. ... until I remember what SE did with fatigue.
As far as instances go, I'm happy with a lot of things coming from them. I'd prefer to not have everything come from there though. I /can/ see open world HNM's that give really fun, but effectively useless, gear plus money drops for crafting though. Maybe. I always liked fighting Jorm in ffxi, and he was almost always up, despite the fact he had nothing of real worth. Unless you needed a mercurial pole to skill up your staff with!
I remember people defending fatigue with statements like that before it was out too. Yeah. Fatigue was great, thank god I got to experience it. ... From the release debacle the Devs / Management Team seem to have learned that input from their customers actually matters though, at least somewhat. So yeah. I think I will put in my input for this idea before it's actually implemented.Once again, the FFXIV community complaining about something before they know how it actually works or experience it. -_-

Yet, this is a different team, Yoshida doesn't want to limit people's gameplay, which is why fatigue was removed. Add a /blockaid command and most of these "complaints" will be solved. Also they're not going to change much until you actually experience it anyway.I remember people defending fatigue with statements like that before it was out too. Yeah. What's the deal?
A LOT of other MMOs have a system in place where everyone can attack the same mob, but only the one who attacked it first has the right to get loot.
This is nothing uncommon and in fact it's a better system overall. Of course it "sucks" that on NMs or whatnot, everyone could just attack to zerg it down, but do you really think there is gonna be much "uninstanced" content coming in the future? Instances is how endgame is released now, free roaming stuff is viable, but it's a thing of the past, cause it excludes other people on purpose, who either don't get a claim or don't have the time to wait for their "pop conditions".
As much as I loved Sky, Sea etc, as much I hated to fight over claims against other shells. This is just a stupid system and I rather not waste hours of my time to get a "possible" claim of something.
I'D RATHER HAVE ENDGAME INSTANCED AND SKILL BEING THE FACTOR THAT DETERMINES IF I CAN FIGHT IT OR NOT(BEAT IT) AND NOT OUTCLAIMING OTHER PEOPLE FOR A 100% WIN AFTER, LIKE IT WAS IN XI!
Just a simple question...what did everyone enjoy more(back in 2004-2006), Sky or Sea? I bet that majority will say Sea...and guess why? Because there were not 100people fighting over claims, cause majority didn't have Sea access back then...

This new system is just insane.
It means there will be no point for NM/HNMs ever in the future if this is true.
Maybe you could if you PLAYED THE GAME.
No thanks.
Know what good work is?
