    Can we have more exciting PVP battlegrounds?

    I like the idea of frontlines, I do.
    When I choose to PVP, because I hate the Wolves Den and everybody there is awful and nothing will change my mind on that, I go with Frontlines.

    The problem I have with frontlines is, though, it's incredibly boring. The whole battleground is rather uninspired and basically just results in some League-of-Legends-ripoff PVP. It's not really engaging. It really all amounts to "Go to the left and get point X, other team goes left to go point Y, and maybe have that other team camp central until Z spawns". Can we get some better PVP battlegrounds aside from the flats?

    I'm thinking something like the Corsair's Stronghold from TERA. You know, lots of stuff to interact with, capture, destroy, to better help you take over points and get a better foothold over the other faction. I mean, really, anything would be more exciting. 2 vs 1 maps where one GC gets a fortress with gates and weapons to help defend the fortress, and opposing factions get siege weapons to help break into the fortress and accomplish whatever the hell the goal would be, and then cycle through with every 10 minute round.

    Or a big canyon where GCs have to take turns escorting convoys through to the end, where the distance traveled generates points and every vehicle that makes it through generates bonus points. Attackers generate points for every vehicle/NPC destroyed, and can slow down the other attacking GC by capturing spawnpoints closer to where the convoy is. The defending GC can place traps along the way in the lanes leading to wherever the convoy is located, like bear traps, mines, poison gas, or puddles of tar/mud/whatever to slow anyone who runs into it.

    I dunno, I'm just spitballing here. I don't like the typical "capture the points to score more" PVP. I get that my ideas aren't as "skill" heavy, even though PVP doesn't require a hell of a lot of "skill" to begin with, but the point is just make frontlines more entertaining and fun to play. Right now it's pretty bland and generic, with not a whole lot differentiating it from other games and their PVP, despite its massive potential to be way more fun to play.

    Personally I like frontlines and other capture and hold style games but I'd welcome the suggestions you mentioned too. Lets hope the next additions to pvp are epic.

    I reallly really really want a capture the flag battleground. CTF was always my fav in WoW and even in Titanfall and I know I would love it here.

    I'm guessing the reason we don't have more complex battle environments was so that this first one- which was a while in the making it sounds like- could be up and running and the kinks worked out while they develop new ones and assess the dynamics of real players in FL to incorporate that into their designs. There are probably people working on new maps even now, and making sure of things such as- do teams have an equal opportunity to reach key areas that's balanced across the board? Especially if there's a larger number of strategic points added. I remember their making an adjustment based on a rock or something causing people in one GC to arrive after a other like a sec later. And that one second is a very important one. I have a maneuver that's a trade secret of mine for capturing flags quickly and the timing has to be precise, I have about a margin of error of one or two seconds at most to time it right.

    I agree with this completely.

    Even while I love the idea of GC vs GC capture the flag, think about it. When you steal a base, you're supposed to feel accomplished; like you've taken over a kingdom that will greatly help your GC...but then look around. What have you gotten? You're standing in a field of ruins; I really don't understand how capturing some ruins is supposed to help your grand company establish a better foot over the border flats whatsoever.

    Coupled with that is the fact that there's only six points, and they're all worth the same value. Why not have more points with varying levels of value? I understand the need to have them evenly placed for equality, but that doesn't mean they all need to be the same. Give us different points with different numbering values, and make the atmosphere more inspiring. I want to be fighting for an ancient temple or library stored with allagan knowledge; not some ruins left in the wake of the calamity.

    New mechanics would be nice, but I just want new maps. Like I want a forest map where people are fighting in treehouses/rope bridges above while others fight on the forest below and there would be monsters and stuff crawling around down there too. Or maybe a giant mountain with a cave system with gems and stuff everywhere, and maybe a dragon inside somewhere starts wrecking alliances halfway through. Or maybe a desert area there are a bunch of pits where there's stuff down there players want to reach but you can cave in the pit by attacking things on the surface, so you have to have another group on the surface protecting the weak points from attackers.

    There's a bunch of ideas they could use to spice the maps up a bit. And I'm pretty disappointed in them just releasing one map in the near future.

    A CTF BG would be nice, also a BG with capture and hold without these damn PVE things in the middle.
    I would not like to see Monsters, NPC or any kind of that stuff in a PVP scenario.

    PS: I just had to point out that OP is saying that "PVP doesn't require a hell of a lot of "skill" to begin with".
    Can't tell if serious though...

    Yea, there is definitely a big gap between skilled players and non-skilled ones. I usually see the same names with the most kills, least deaths, and most damage, and they are usually twice as good as the more average players. And all the gear is synced so it's not like they have more gear to do more damage.

    I could not agree more. I want some instance objective-based PvP in this game. Along the lines of battlegrounds in WoW or warfronts in Rift. That would keep me in this game a long time. Right now I'm just waiting for that style PvP with decent graphics. Everyone wants to do MOBA's instead
