90k strikes again?

Am from the Netherlands here. Have no hops on the Telekom network. It's unlikely to have been the source of the issue. No problems here anymore either for nearly an hour now though. Let's hope it stays like that.

Can confirm a clean trace on Odin too, looks like it it just Ragnarok that is suffering right now.

Ok checked the route from here and can confirm I got a complete route on Excalibur no problems but the Ragnarok route ended in repeated timeouts. The route is identical up to 199.91.189.242 which is the last hop. This tells me that it is the server/device at 199.91.189.60 actually in the data centre that has the issue (they are in the same subnet so its definitely at the data centre). This is probably a router or distribution server and is probably load balanced. If it uses sticky connections that might explain why some of us are having problems and some are not. I would suspect one of the nodes is not responding and maybe that is down to a DDOS attack or it is just malfunctioning. They will need to invest in some decent DDOS reflection hardware if it is an attack. They could add some more nodes to their load balancing set up which might alleviate the issue until they get something more permanent in place.

Argh, I just realised that I checked on Shiva's IP (.45) the whole time D: (Info: Getting the IPs from arrstatus)
I randomly did another tracert to Shiva and had a timeout on a Level3 router (6th hop out of 11). Then I did one on Ragnarok (.60) and I'm getting a timeout on the server itself.

I can confirm the route to Shiva is fine from here in the UK, I guess you have something more localized that is not playing ball. Its a wonder it ever works lol.

Again, everything up to Shiva is fine while I get a timeout to Ragnarok (route is fine - Server not)


P.S.: Connection to Excalibur still working.

PP.S.: Cannot even drop a ping to Ragnarok. The suspicious 217.0.88.x hop responds perfectly and the route to the server is still working, just the server itself isn't reachable. This was done 3 minutes ago (17:53 / 5:53 o' clock).

Another EDIT: Actually, the 4th hop is always different too. I always checked/compared my routes to Excalibur, Shiva and Ragnarok. The third hop is always the same router in this net: 217.0.88.xxx. The fourth hop is always the same router for each server in the 217.239.49.xxx-net.

Would be nice to know if someone else who's having these problems uses the same hops/routers as me :s

I am checking my ping and do a tracert recently on Ragnarok's IP (199.91.189.60) and keep getting a timeout on the server itself, even though I am running around ingame just fine xD? (Switched back to Ragnarok from Excalibur 15 minutes ago)

Hey so there's a thread about this already here. It's 22 pages long at this moment and still no official response. It's a lot of people across EU and NA servers also platform seems to have very little to do with it.
