[DEV Response Please] Confused About Non-Removable Furniture

So why is it certain very expensive items can't be removed once placed? I mean things that would not be considered a permanent fixture of a house like the garuda couch, crafting stations, lighting. I know lighting is attached but it's not exactly stuck in place like paint or wallpaper. I would like to know why they made it this way?

Keep them expensive by ensuring demand? Also conversely ensures (sort of) that people will obtain them to sell since it is harder to flood a consumable luxury market. Would still like to see the ability to transfer items from house to house so long as ownership does not change.. (so you can't resell it keeping some of the demand, but also removing some of the frustration).

I can only guess it's to highlight how SUPER DUPER SPECIAL AND IMPORTANT those things are, and to drive some end-game economy by constantly requiring new drops+sales of whatever rare boss materials are involved.

Would love to hear from the DEV team on this. They answers all kinds on nonsensical questions like emotes and butt sliders, can I hear from one on this please?

Does seem kinda odd. Once any item is placed, it gains the "BINDING" tag and is no longer sellable and cannot be traded except via the FC chest.

I would like an option for the item to bind to you like the other housing items you place. If you want to move house(like buying a bigger house) then are you forced to create or buy all these super expensive housing items all over again?

I agree that it's weird and doesn't really serve a good purpose to make those items not moveable between your own property. I have no problem with them being locked to me, but why can't I even just feel like changing up my room occasionally (and, you know, spending more money on housing/helping the economy) without losing my items? While I don't love that things like wallpaper and floors are one time use I can live with it.

With the way it is now I feel like it is hurting the housing market quite a bit because people have the sense that they have to get it right the first time since they only have one shot with their super expensive/rare items and that leads to them never investing in more items to redecorate. "Man, I'm getting really tired of this pastel princess theme I have going on in here; I want to go for a dark, dungeony look to match my new job. But if I do that I'm gonna lose my garuda couch and my other cool stuff... Oh well, guess I'll just leave it for now... : ( "

Like Nozomi said I have been very careful about stuff I buy lately because I'm not into spending so much Gil on something I can't move with me. I just bought the armoire the other day and was very unhappy to find it is the same way so $750k down the drain right there.

You can still move fixtures around within the house/outside. You just can't put it back in your inventory if you wanted to change entire estates or rooms. Though it'd be nice to still hold onto some of them in the event of that (like a removal fee or something)

The house enthusiast should just hold onto all "Furnished" items if you delete the house and give you the chance to re-place them in a new house. BUT the issue then becomes one of what character does this data bind too?

I'm guessing SE seen the potential for abuse, and the need for a revolving market.
