Another +1 on the VPN, had no disconnects all day so far just minor lag every once in a while, I dread to play without it.

Ok so this is beyond annoying. For the past four days I and my husband have been dcing. Until yesterday it was every 6-10 minutes and yesterday it moved up to 5-15 minutes with either back to back or 15 minutes of false security thinking I won't get booted again. In our FC there are at least five people having this problem that have said anything and across the server there are others who are having issues as well. My ISP has rocked a pretty good gig for being satellite internet. I've had a full second of lag regardless of how well FFXIV is running and I was willing to work around it as I love this game but, the consistent disconnects are driving me crazy and have only happened during the Ddos and this week. I've played for 4 months no probs sometimes even leaving my character in game because I fell asleep while playing and no dc. I roleplay and like doing dungeons or really anything in game and my experience as well as those in my server who are having the same problem is being ruined.

Oh and just to test something I went to Excalibur to play on a character I left in the dust and disconnected in roughly 15 minutes. I just want to play with my friends!

Just started again... Got the issues yesterday from 8pm to 11 pm and now this is repeating even earlier ! Have been able to play 2 hours today, I guess that's a chance.

I have send in-game message as well..maybe we should do that too in order for them to realize this..as it is mods may not be around to read boards...but some people might on at the back and if they are flooded with in-game messages might have some impact..otherwise is just a blatant disrespect for players and somewhat paying a sub does give us the right in some ways to access the game right ? here we cant access the game so..is that somewhat against what paying a sub is for ? accessing the game is what we pay for...here we cant right ? so? might we ask for a refund ?

90K immediately (characters standing around as soon as I log in, sending OK, 0 Receiving - got killed by moving into a quest spawn area, 90K showed up in quest zone, mobs spawned, after 90K was dead) since last night).

Seconded. I can forgive them for having problems (I think the people talking of quitting the game are overreacting), but this lack of communication after what has been for me almost 24 hours, and apparently longer for others, is unacceptable. I don't know if the problem is with SE's servers or something else along the line that they have no control over, but they need to tell us something, even if it is just that the problem is outside of their control and we need to bear with it for the time being. Hell, they can even admit they don't know what the problem is as far as I'm concerned, so long as they acknowledge there is a problem.

Anywho, I did have a go at logging in after all, and had only one 90k error in just over an hour of play, and maybe a small amount of lag later on. I would have played for longer, but I put it off because of all these reports, not thinking it would even be worth the trouble.
