Unhappy Looking for Tips when Dealing with Ninja Aggro

I don't have issues in the hard modes or even normal with keeping aggro with my Warrior. I got back into playing with the paladin and it is quite stressful keeping a decent aggro bar. Toto was the worst I saw so far. I'm hoping that when I can get the third aggro skill this can be alleviated.

It's really frustrating when a ninja takes aggro and I provoke shield log and nothing happens. I then proceed to use FB>SB and have a tug of war until the add dies. I do use flash twice in each group encounter. Should I rotate my attacks to it hit each add while the group focuses on one target at a time?

Marking has controlled it a bit, but I cant stop using FB>SB for dots like fracture or other passive skills for risk of getting aggro taken. Should I just let the ninja have it and get beat up or tell them to slow down. The idea of asking someone to slow down makes me feel like I'm not doing my job though. Any tips paladin players can give would be very much appreciated.

At those low levels, if the thing you're losing hate on is below 50% just let it go. Forget about using Fracture on trash pulls.

Rogues are squishy, but they are not *that* squishy.

I mean, pulling aggro off of the first mob in the pull is what Perfect Dodge is there for. :P Getting a head-start on the next one in the pack is a better use of your time.

It's not that ninjas generate more aggro, but it builds weirdly compared to the other classes.
Having a lot of trouble with this myself. I used to hate SCH/BRD/BLM or SCH/BLM/BLM random parties, now I hate NIN/BLM.

let them tank until they die. then take aggro.

if they want to be overzealous, they can hit the floor.

Congrats on being a lazy and awful tank.

At low levels, tank threat is really weak compared to 50. If your gear isn't top notch and/or you aren't level sync'd, NIN & BRD can cause problems. Most of that goes away when you get halone/brutal swing.

Anyhow, DPS has a threat meter, they know when they are going to pull agro. They can adjust accordingly if they don't want to die.

I'm not arguing that it isn't difficult. I'm saying that tanks who give up to teach DPS a lesson are lazy and stupid. You do it intentionally because the mob is almost dead, or you get it back because it's your job.

I am a tank main, not just blowing smoke out of my bass.

If you're just giving up, then sure you're bad. But I thought this was about the OP doing everything he could and still getting overtaken by level sync'd NIN/ROG with all the best DPS cross class abilities? If they're blowing all their cooldowns at the start of the fight and the OP just can't keep up he shouldn't beat himself up too much over it It will get much more forgiving when he picks up halone and further when he gets shield oath.

... up until he hits 50 and everybody overgears him by 50-60 or so ilvl...
