    Copying JP side thread Marc started to get NA players feedbacks for the devs/reps.
    Post your ideas for traps/gadgets in future instance raids in here. Please follow the guideline and template made by Marc.

    There is a room with lots of chest, there is either a piece of paper or a mimic (mob).
    If you choose the correct ones you wouldn't have to fight the mimics.
    Correct answer is 10 letter word, say requires 6 papers to complete the word. you can either try to guess or complete the papers.

    In any given room, there could be no mobs, but rather a bunch of switches and a gate/door. In order to operate the door, the correct sequence of switches must be pressed, and up until reaching this room or even in the room, there could be clues on what switches must be pressed/held(through color patterns, images, riddles maybe, etc.). Once the party presses the switches, then chooses to operate the door, either it will open, or they will get the combination wrong and could suffer a type of penalty or be forced to fight a group of monsters.

    Along those same lines, the switches can be "pressure plates" activated by players standing on certain spots on the floor. There are several pressure plate/switches in the room that you must activate to open the door. Step on a pressure plate/switch, and it spawns a mob that attacks the group. And whoever steps on the pressure plate/switch first is stuck in that place until all the switches are pressed.

    So parties will have to consider where they're standing and moving while fighting, so they don't accidentally step on a plate and spawn additional mobs and get stuck in place. And they'll have to make decisions about who stands on which plates. And they'll have to use ranged attacks while stuck on a plate. And they'll have to consider pulling mobs to an area within the ranged attack range of all party members that are stuck on plates.

    Solve the puzzle on the floor/wall panel running energy from point A to B (Goal) or multiple goals.

    You have a energy source at beginning and you have to somehow transfer the energy to the other source by goal to pass the area. You have floor panels you can rotate with energy flow patterns written on them you have to match the panels so the energy can flow through A to B or multiple B,C,D++ to energize the gate/door. The floor panel can go up walls making it bit more harder. If you miss the puzzle mobs will pop up and you have to keep on doing till you solve it.

    I thought Dungeons & Dragons online did this effectively with sort of pipe-light puzzles. If you sent the light into the wrong areas, mobs would spawn and attack you. And you can make them sort of 3-d -- running up and down walls, and connecting to other walls -- to make the puzzles more complicated.

    自分の周りの壺の中にいるボムの数はわかるが場所はわからない。
    正しい壺のふたを開け続ければカギが手に入るが間違った壺のふたを開けた瞬間
    全てのボムが爆発。
    Pots are in the room. One of the pots have the key, but same time bombs are inside the pots.
    You know how many bombs are around the pots but you don't know which one has the actual bombs.
    If you open the correct pot then you can obtain the key, if wrong one picked all the bombs explodes

    Everything around you became large (or you go smaller) - Kind of like being casting the minimum spell from FF3 and going through the water dragons shrine through the dragon statues eye. Boss was a rat that stole the dragon statue's eye.

    部屋に閉じ込められて、壁が迫ってきます。
    時間内に壁を倒さないと押しつぶされて全滅。

    PTメン二人を生贄にしてブレイクっていうのは…無しですよねw

    Trapped in a room and the wall is closing in on you.
    Defeat the wall in time or you get crushed and wiped.

    We can't... have 2 party members and have them cast break
    (FF4 reference Parom & Porom casting break to stop the wall from closing in on the party.)

    Sort of a play on Amu's idea:

    [Craft That Key!]

    Craft a special key to open a door(or series of doors) within the dungeon to reach the boss.

    [Details]

    Located throughout the dungeon will be various groups of monsters with a leader holding a material required to create a "master key". In order to complete the required key, you will have to defeat the monster leader, collect the pieces and then have somebody craft the key, open the lock(or locks) and then proceed through the rest of the dungeon.

    As a side note, I really think that some of these ideas(like the naked run idea) could work nicely as storyline related stuff.
