    No i will be happy to have raids and end game content based around raids....its a effin mmo....stop complaining thats what mmo's do go play a fps is you dont want raids dropping best gear.... go do something else jebus.....mmo's will always focus on multiplayer raids and gear that comes from endgame stuff

    only radis, raids and radis would kill the game eventually. I think yoshi is aware of this and more content will be put aside. I did 30 dungeon 1x just to complete quest.

    weird i remember lots of the best gear in ffxi from outside raids...
    like byakkos haidate, the haste belt thing, af pieces, the awesome brd body, emps hairpin, leapin boots,
    For almost every job in ffxi you got your equip from a mix of gods, hnms/nms, ksnms/bcnms, quests, large raids, small raids, unlocking though use. Point is it wasnt ALL raids. Having a mix is great. having all raids makes this WoW

    Yeah I guarantee that once they implement new areas no new overworld mobs/NMs will be included. So this game is gonna be raid-central for sure.

    That was sarcasm of course, speculation is the name of the game in this thread I guess.

    Yoshida said he wants to avoid competition. So how do you have nms without competition? If NMs are like now where they have like 1/5 drop rate everyone will get the best gear and get bored fast again. Open world competition is generally competitive. From what hes said it really sounds like the game will become raid-centric like almost every other MMO out there in order to avoid that competition.

    Yeah reading into what the devs say is always the way to go. He definitely made it sound this way that way yada yada yada

    This. They tried to make raids "a bit different" from wow etc, and look what we have now... To make them better IMHO, Raids should have a lot more bosses (at least 5-6 per raid) no time.. So if you wipe, you should try boss over and over .. without do the trash train again and again.. But raids should be at least 3-4 hours of gameplay, something that you can do with your ls in 2 days (even 1 with an hardcore one) ..

    Raids are boring... rather it be both. Raids are just way too short to be even main endgame armor. Even at the rate of 30mins and 5min to reneter is too short and becomes repetive. Raids need to be more like 2 hours and 24hr reneter. Bring back Salvage kinda content.

    It's hard to explain something like this to people who don't read your posts/were bad at XI.

    This game won't be worth playing if everything is a gimme-gimme raid like darkhold.
