But considering what I have seen and heard of it. I do not want the game to focus on it, I don't mind it being something to do, but I don't want it to be the focus of the game. I enjoy me and my brother *Rank 48 meeles* bringing our rank 22 conjurer friend with us to fight the open world NM's and haphazard things. I dislike being shoehorned into a situation where I NEED 4-8 members or I NEED _____Class or _____class.

I hate when the game gets so structured it's a boring chore rather than an adventure. Instanced content is cool for all of 10 minutes of when you experience it at the proper level with the proper group. Why can't I raid Toto-rak with my group of 3? Who cares if I get demolished! I want the option to try.
I fully agree with this. This is an MMO, it should feel like an adventure in the open world.

I remember the first day or so that I played FFXI, I ran into the giant ram nm in La thine. Things like that made ffxi feel special. It was cool to be solo'ing or killing stuff and all of a sudden an NM pops. Or running through a zone and then seeing the screen vibrate as a giant ram comes walking by killing people in its way. If they game is -already- headed towards a raiding system most people will just grind to endgame, and then just log on to do raids and get the equip they want. The game probably won't last like that.
