I can honestly say I enjoyed those aspects of FFXI and all the things that came with them a lot more than I enjoy FFXI post Abyssea, and not for the reasons you mention. I wouldn't have played it for so many years if I didn't enjoy it. I don't know why several hundred thousand other players would have if they didn't, either.

Psychoanalyze/demonize me all you want. It's easy to assume everyone who doesn't share your opinion must have something wrong with them or is just being a child, but that's a huge cop out. Fact is my opinion is just different to yours. The actual reasons vary from person to person. It's a fact of life, learn to accept it instead of just being lazy and lumping everyone you disagree with into one group.
