Okay, I gotta get this settled once and for all...

How in the world do you NOT die at the final Job Quest mission period? Almost every time without fail, I will usually die due to the fact I'm just not strong enough to handle getting pummeled to death until I get an Echo buff or two.

Monk Quest? Usually end up dead because I get jumped by the addons and too weak to handle the boss.

Dragoon Quest? When he buffs himself with Blood For Blood, I end up deader than a doornail.

And now Warrior, I end up dead even though it was one of the closest ones I had to defeating him without needing the Echo Buff(almost dead, and I learned painfully his Line AOE is one of those that still remains there and can get hit even when it disappears...or he hit a Crit at that exact moment afterwards).

I tried attacking the orbs that generate every time, no avail, tried outlasting doesn't work, how does anyone get through this without dying over and over?

It has been a while but there are usually adds that heal you when killed.
I remember specifically the warrior one and the monk one having these.

For warrior, there are two types of orbs. one heals you (blue iirc) and the other damages you. It's all a matter of saving healing orbs for when they're needed and ignoring damage orbs.

I did it one shot before the buff of warrior and nerf of the quest itself and while it's not self explanatory, it's pretty easy to figure if you pay attention to texts during battle.

For DRG, you have a refresh iirc, and maybe some orbs too (it's been a very long time ago for me ^^).
Second wind helps a lot too, and bloodbath as well

also, having i45+ gear everywear (i50+ for weapon if possible) helps a lot

uhmm orbs give you a buff, so when you are about to die attack orbs and you regain health...at least it worked for me and didnt die at all during that fight (maybe I was just lucky not sure lol). For the rest, I rarely had problems the only one that gave me problem is the Summoner one...for the others they are pretty much easy, especially if you have been keeping your gears updated. Now if you do those fight in lvl 40 gears you might find it hard but other then that nothing is really difficult. For the Dragoon I kept runing in circles hit and run hit and run..lasted a while but made it without too many difficulties.

It may take one round to adjust and see what you need to do other then that, there is nothing hard about those...I like them even ...

Gorge hits very hard, so you’ll want to dodge his AoE. But, the trick to the Warrior quest lies within the orbs. Wait till your HP drops below 3/2rd and then walk to one of the Inner Fury orbs. (I’m not sure if moving next to it is enough or if you have to hit it once…) These orbs will heal you.

If you find an Inner Rage orb, leave them be! These orbs will deal damage to you.

Save your Stun for when he uses Holmgang on you. Be sure to use Blood Bath and Inner Beast to heal yourself as well. If possible, you might want to equip the Convalescence (Gladiator Lvl 10), Second Wind (Pugilist Lvl 8), Internal Release (Pugilist Lvl 12) and Featherfoot Pugilist (Lvl 4) Cross Class Skills too.

So basically, the orbs are there so I can run at them to heal? Man, most of the time I just swang wildly(I didn't really ignore the text as the issue was that it wasn't clear enough for me.), I think my issue with George was the fact I aimed for the wrong Furies.

Monk and Dragoon was more of "I ignored the Orb for Monk and kept attacking a few orbs at Dragoon till I believe I saw no benefit and stopped" type of deal. I'll try keeping that in mind for the rest of the final Job Quests, getting tired of dying because I have no idea how it all worked lol.

I barely even remember the warrior fight at 50, even though it was my most recent one! I didn't even know what the orbs did.

...and I just remembered I was way overgeared because I had full noct from PLD and T9 axe...so my commentary is kinda worthless.

I do remember issues with MNK though, and I had even more trouble on WHM. I don't remember PLD at all, not even what I fought.

Luckily, you never have to do the jobs quest in 1.0. Better storytelling but much difficult fight mechanic, and requires a full party for the last battle.
2.0 jobs quest is a joke. Designed for casual player as usual.
