It should be 24 hours instead of 36. Anything less than that would be unfair and you would level up way too quickly. That or they would have to readjust a bunch of crap again and I like the current SP system for leves.
Just to throw in my 2 cents....but everyone here has a valid point. As a once a day(if i can) for a couple hours and then a good chunk of time on days off, i wouldnt mind it reduced a little. 4-8 hours is wayyy to low. I think 24 hours would be the limit. 36 is ok, but i love all the jobs in this game and can get bored playing one for a long time. So the shorten reset would be ok. It would allow me to do different level leves for different lvls for the jobs i enjoy. Either that or a better way to choose. It seems a little random. More with local leves then battle. The crafting leves are 1-20, but if you have a leve that is 2 levels higher it is almost impossible to complete. So you have to go lower. I love all the content in the game and cant wait for more that they have planned. But i have to say, i wouldnt mind it lowered a little. For my kind of playing....that is the hard thing to do, balance. We all enjoy this game, but we enjoy it in different ways. So, heres to Square (tip of my hat) Good luck finding the balance, with all the mixed opinions and ideas for the fourms, i have faith they will!!

If it's 24 though the leve timer will always reset at the same time. Something like 16-20hr would probably be better to accommodate all the time zones. If the ticket system is good though, there doesn't need to be any changes.

Nope =)
With that system you would get to 50 in no time, since now the leves give you so much SPs you can half-bar at R45+. Add the 4-8 hours leve update with ranking up through farming and behesting, included the dungeon and encampments/settlements, and you could be a 50 like Flash could do circles around his 1 mile-wide palace 2 times.
No good for you, not challenging and not rewarding. Total disapprovement, but I understand your concern.

Sure they could make leves reset five times as often, but expect to do five times as many leves in order to get the same SP you get now. People who want want want seem to forget little things like balancing. I can understand you wanting to do five times the work just so you have more things to do, but some of us just like to get things like leves over with. Unfortunately it's hard to cater to both types of players.

You're right, the way other games do it where you pick up 2500 quests to kill 20 of the same crabs with no one to talk to is vastly superior.

i see where you are coming from on the same time reset. i'm not saying i really disagree with you on your reasoning though. i just feel 24 hours would keep from having strange hour resets and still allow one set a day.
it seems even if it did reset every day at the same time you would still have 24 hours to complete the leves. if you couldn't get all of your leves completed in that 24 hours would be a great way to add in the ticket system. you finish 7 of your 8 leves in that 24 hour period? you get a ticket to pick up an extra leve so you could get 9 on one reset whenever you had time.
i don't think many people would too much mind what time the reset was since it'd still be 24 hours no matter the time zone and you would have peak time anywhere during that 24 hour period. i don't think it'd hurt as long as they could pick up a set amount of tickets so they could still do them when they wanted. say, for example, someone doesn't get to play much during the week and can only get 5 or 6 done, but on the weekend they have time to play and wants to get their leves done. they could complete what they could during the week and then be able to make up for them on the weekends.
i would think it'd be a good idea to have a timer on the tickets though. maybe a week or so from the day you get it.
