I can dream. MNK ranged attack... in PvP?

This post is going to get me so much hate haha

Sort of rant post also, but could I ever hope for MNK to get a real range attack while in PvP? I am so tired of my kills being 'steal' while a simple ranged attack could have get me the kill. Also very tired of literally every job being able to pursue me for 5min and be able to kill me without reaching me, but MNK cannot. Same thing when being unable to hit a target while they are on a mount. [insert here many more reasons why not having it suck]
Whatever the reason is SE doesn't want a ranged attack in PvE for MNK, idc that much, but it can be such a huge disadvantage in PvP. I know MNK is really far from the best in PvP so if we could at least get that.

tl;dr MNK can be very sucky in PvP; give me some damn pebbles. plz.

Not saying it's impossible to get lots of kills, but most of the time it make it impossible to do simple tasks that every other jobs can do (or you have to go and use some very useful CD to do what a simple range could do). Seem pretty unfair to me since MNK usually can't reach max DPS in PvP. (unless you are the lucky kind who fight healers that never move/run away)

Then, srsly OP, I would have understood it if you wanted the ranged attack to be able to stop casters from casting (like this is the real use of these attacks IMHO) but... they steal your kills?

PvP forums seems pretty dead to me, it seemed better to post it here to make it more visible but if the mods see it fit to move this thread to the PvP section then no problem.

'Stealing' kills is just one of the example I'm giving, but I personally do find it kind of annoying when after getting someone at very low hp by myself that someone else's ranged attack get the final blow. It's not game breaking I don't care that much the guy is dead it's all that matter, again it's just one of the example. And since people are mentioning BLM (?) they are various ways to interrupt them so getting a ranged attack just for this wasn't the first thing that came to my mind. I'm more talking about the chasing/being chased case where it cause a much bigger disadvantage.

With ST, you shouldn't need a ranged attack.

ST is a gap closer, on a shorter GC yes, but it's still a pale replacement for a range. So if we follow your logic DRG and NIN don't have need for a range attack either then? Cause they do, which is what makes it unfair imo.
