PS VITA / PS TV Remote Play Keyboard Question

I am not certain which thread to place this. Tech support or Interface question so here goes.

You would think things be pretty straight forward and normally I would agree. However I am at a lost and if someone can make this easy for me than I would appreciate it. I have a ps vita and now a ps tv. Both of them are setup to remote ps4 games. I however am starting to really love my ps tv in the bedroom and since all is hardwired its a win win. Plays this game flawlessly. No lag, no hiccups, just runs. However I am in need to be social when playing an mmo. I need to chat and let players know my thoughts from time to time. Hell even just say hello and not have it on a macro lol.

So far I have paired a BT keyboard to first my vita then when that didn't work I took that same keyboard and tried the PS TV. When I saw that neither would let me type in the chat window or login to the game I tried a usb keyboard on the PS TV. Still nothing comes out. I do however in using the BT keyboard have no problems what so ever typing while on the respective consoles interface. I.E. PSN Store searches work fine, can type the name of what I want to search in the box using the BT keyboard just fine. The keyboard even will allow me to move between the interface on both PS TV and PS Vita. Only issue is chat with ffxiv.

I am not sure how to get them working with ps4 remote play. Seems once I go live and connect the two all devices besides the controller get shutdown.

Is there a way to use a external keyboard with either the ps vita or ps tv and have it work with ffxiv?

    AM I doing something wrong?

Pretend for a moment you were trying to explain this to a 3rd grader cause sometimes it feels that way to me anyways. Give me step by step what has worked for you and I will try it. Thank you for your help with this matter.

One more thing but not really related. When in ps4 remote play with Vita the audio chat function and headphones works fine. PS TV however no audio when using a ps4 controller and a head set plugged in. Not related but just putting it out there as another issue. I know some of us play ffiv with other ps3/ps4 players and theres that psn chat feature we use from time to time.

Of the views I see the topic has some interests to other players. Now the thing is, did I put this in the wrong thread and does it have a better spot to be for possible answer? If this is the best area to be on the forums then I will leave it here. TY

I think it's just not enough people use the PSV for ff14, and even less people use the PS TV, to get you the answer :/

This thread caught my eye because my first thought was "oh right, there's a thing called PS TV. I forgot about that. I didn't realize people could play ff14 through it * click * ". I'm sure I'm not the only one.

    Pretty much.

As for where to put the thread, I'd say either Technical Support or General Discussion might be better. The people who read the UI forum tend to be really curious about UI things, and knowledgeable about general use with what's in the base game itself (i.e., not quite so much off-the-beaten-path hardware). General Discussion is pretty much always the place to go to get lots of views/attention, but not necessarily a lot of knowledge. Technical Support is read by more people who understand hardware concerns & tend to be better for troubleshooting these kinds of things.

10 posts per page is only the default setting; it is bad, and you should feel bad if you haven't changed it.
