I'll prolly have to do that, though I'd end up with in-game moogle minion and not her but at least she would get the plush.

The minion comes via a code that comes with the moogle. I'm pretty sure the codes are not region locked (at least if I go by the fact that my instructions to get the wind-up Dalamud from the one soundtrack were in Japanese).
