1/ I have some issues with the targetting options available.
I do have that "auto target" option in the menu activated, thing is, 95% of the time it doesn't auto target. If I go to attack some Rank A Hunt or go to pull one mob in a dungeon with my only ranged attack: Tomahawk (with a lame 15 yards range) I often end up pulling some completely random other mob sometimes even behind me (thus behind my camera as well) WTF ?
There is the "aggro'ed mobs" window frame, but it only works for mobs currently in combat with the party. And isn't really really practical.
I'm kinda forced to point, click to target, and THEN use an ability, often even if I'm hugging the mob in front of me. Using TAB will just make me rotate through all other mobs in the area until the one I'm in front lol. Yes, I did select "Enemies" in the filter options to avoid targetting non hostile targets...
I'll try with mouseover macro to see if they can allow to attack what I mouse over, without clicking on them, but I'm not sure if it will target those afterwards (thus will not avoid the auto targetting issue)
2/ I would like to be able to read FF14 Staff messages more easily on the forums.
For ex, click on the Moogle Crown in the topic list to directly access the FF14 Staff post. And/or be able to click on a button in the thread to goto that post, or if there are several in the same thread, go to the next one. For those who know, it's the same with blue posts in wow forums (one of the rare things I like there)
Skimming through 35 pages of a popular thread isn't fun. But we can live with it, there is the "Square Enix Messages" link on top of the boards.
3/ Using the chat could use some QoL improvements
Would it be possible to add a basic keybind for a simple "reply to last /tell" instead of those two we have currently that cycle through ALL RECIPIENTS in one direction or the other?
I have to hit ENTER to chat with my current one recipient. But if someone else sends me a tell, I gotta try both "reply forward" and "reply back" to figure which one will allow me to reply to him.
Right clicking some player name and then "Send a Tell" will only TEMPORARILY switch the target recipient as well!
I also noticed using /s /fc /sh etc will only temporarily switch the chat mode accordingly, you have to painfully click on the chat bubble to switch the chat mode permanently.
And some don't seem to stay at all, if you for ex press ENTER to avoid posting a message, it will go back to previous chat mode (like, you were on /fc or /p and clicked on the bubble to make it /sh or /s, forgot which one, but if you hit ENTER and sent nothing, it wil revert to previous mode, if you forget and just hit enter later on you'll send your thoughts to your fc for ex instead)
^ Not ingame atm so can't check which chat mode seem to not stay permanently in this case sorry.
4/ Is there currently any way to sell back some items bought with a currency like Allied Seals, Tomestones etc to the vendor NPC? Ala Buyback feature?
EDIT: Just for a duration of say, 30 min or 1 hour after your purchase ofc, in the case you chose the wrong item, or if you got a better drop in the next dutyIt would be absolutely op if you could at anytime just sell back your item once you're fully geared (and go gear some alt class) ...
5/ It would be nice to be able to preview gear from chat links. Currently you can only preview gear from NPC's menus. Or from inventory / armory bags. YOU CAN'T EVEN PREVIEW GEAR FROM QUEST REWARDS / IN DUNGEON LOOT FRAME. Would be nice to be able to for glamour purposes you know
6/ It would be nice to be able to preview MORE THAN ONE ITEM at any given time... You know, to see a full set thrown together, with the clipping ensuing, like those big metal boots going over the pants. Or see if shoulders will clip through helmet etc.
7/ Would be nice to be able to just ALT click on a piece of gear from character sheet menu to change gear and / or compare stats with another, instead of the slow clunky option to right click an item, press compare ... Which only ever show the differences in armor (even when it's blatantly wrong with a two piece of gear since it doesn't account for the loss of the piece of gear lost, like with a hooded armor since you lose the helmet stats)
AFAIK you can't see the difference in primary and secondary stats at all, you gotta calculate those yourselves (not hard, but if would be nice to have it easier).
Yes I know about gear set management and I'm not referring to that in this point.
8/ I would like to know which thing daily / weekly reset, raid lockouts, beastmen daily quests, bill daily & weekly hunts for the grand company etc. I didn't find any way to get that information? It also seems that after a certain hour, despite the roulettes saying "bonus already earned" I can still get it at the end of the dungeon?
9/ Is there a way to be able to ride our mount, which is not a chocobo, after we summoned it? Currently you need to Withdraw the chocobo to be able to ride your other mount... You also can't have a minion out while on mount. Or while with the chocobo companion to aid you in battle.
10/ I know it's to make for the clunky targetting system that minions are not allowed in dungeon. BUT WHY DO WE NEED TO WITHDRAW CHOCOBOS TO QUEUE FOR DUTY? WHY JOINING A PARTY WHILE ALREADY IN QUEUE FOR SAID DUTY WILL CANCEL IT ?

13/ How can I get matched with people having only "F" "G" "J" when I'm myself queuing Duty with only "E" language selected? I'm pretty sure they were not in a premade with others who would queue for "E" only since it was for some Duty where if you're not alone you can't queue at all. I may be wrong though...
14/ Why can't I see a PRECISE NUMERICAL VALUE FOR HIT POINTS on enemy nameplates? Or on friendly name plates ? Or just on my current target? Would allow for better judging on what you can or not solo, how much HP this guy has (will he have better tank gear than me -> Remove Defiance and just 'dps' since I'll not over aggro him) , or for pvp: To see if that guy has way more HP than you he's probably got better gear. Also allow for easier target priorities.
The % HP is cool but doesn't replace it. It's just and added aid, in my case to see how much each hit chunks for and at which point phase transitions happen and when I can use my 'execute'.
Can't even see the HP of people in an Alliance lol (Frontlines, Labyrinth for ex)
15/ Why put a 1000 characters limitation on a post if you allow for unlimitted characters upon edit of that post?![]()
