Awesome chocobo raising that helps generate that actual feeling of care, that and customization - not only color and pattern options but breeding distinct visual chocobo traits (like the fluffy feathers of FFXIII).
Tessellation fun with DX11 enhancements, get that ocean moving (tessellation not really needed for that, but '3d moar stuff' ^^ lol).

Cooler looking Egis.... not asking 1:1 primal but.. please? They're so cute in size, that's fine for being portable, but at least void walker upgrade me at some point in this or the next expansion - the competing mmos are not even this conservative ;_; lol

Carbuncles for SMN (or any end-game viable class; as long as it's a ranged DPS that uses magic - OK that really narrows it down doesn't it.)
Better anti-aliasing than blur-O-vision FXAA. Maybe what they used in Infamous: Second Son which I heard gave pretty good image quality.

My list of things:
-More horizontal gear progression/added effects on equipment.
-More interesting side stats that allow for more customization
- Shorter raid lockout timers (7 days is far too punishing)
- Dangerous open world with regular trash actually having unique loot tables and rare loot drops (world drop loot) from even regular trash in the world and dungeons. Raid trash also having the ability to drop rare tradeable gear that is comparable to entry level raid gear.
- World Bosses and high level trash mobs to allow spiritbonding even the highest level gear on in open world. Stop forcing players to enter for everything. The world is bare thanks to that.
- Longer raids with duty timer completely removed and more than 4 bosses
- More than one raid that drops useful gear.
- Difficult non-raid dungeons that drop gear that is useful for getting raid ready and rare drops from every boss in dungeons to make the dungeon more rewarding or at least worth running compared to what is now.
- Add a token currency that is only dropped in raids to help purchase raid gear to keep unlucky players from going empty-handed from raids for extended periods. / More than 2 equipment drops from each boss per kill. Since, we're adding even more jobs in the coming expansion that means we'll be seeing a lot of useless drops because we can't bring every job in a party.
- Allow crafted gear to be upgraded and boosted in ilvl or add special crafting mats to drop from raids to further allow crafting to have an actual place in endgame raiding.
