[Glamour] Glamour Requests

Q22: Are there any plans to remove restrictions on the glamour system (unable to glamour gear that the job/class cannot equip)?

A22: Unfortunately, there’s a certain image that we would like to sustain for FINAL FANTASY XIV. We feel that it would confuse the new players if they see casters in heavy armor and tanks in mage gear.

However, if there’s any specific gear you would like to glamour, we will consider those requests individually so please request them through our official forums.

I might not have searched enough, but I didn't found any topic focused only on this. Please try to not go off topic and just list the Gear / Class you would like the Glamour to work on.


The Divine Wisdom Gear (i80 DRG set) -> Tanks (WAR / PAL)

Because.. Lets be serious, this is more a necklace than a shirt.. And it's not like your tattoo is supposed to disappear if you change your shirt !

Headgear, gloves, and boots shouldn't have glamour restrictions. It's odd that casters can have job-specific leather boots but not class-specific leather boots, that a Paladin can wear a heavy circlet but not a tame tricorne, and so on. They're also typically not prominent pieces (with Amon's Hat being the biggest possible exception, as well as the silliest), so there'd be little room for class / role confusion.

Not really a glamor restriction, but honestly I'd like to see more interesting designs for rings, bracelets, neck and ear pieces.

Also, some nice thigh-high boots for casters. Healers always seem to get all the cute ones, my blm is stuck with either boring-looking knee-high ones, or crackows. >.>

Personally? I'd like the Boarskin Skirt to be available to all classes instead of tanks + drg. No reason it should be that restricted for glam, imo.
