    4 Star Rotation

The last stuff I've crafted were 2 star items and I just want to start with 4 star stuff (with literally 0 experience).

Thats the rotation I came up with after playing around a bit:

    Comfort Zone
    Inner Quiet
    Steady Hand
    (Tricks of the Trade)
    Piece by Piece
    Piece by Piece
    (Tricks of the Trade)
    Piece by Piece
    Careful Synthesis II
    Careful Synthesis II

There are plenty of possibilities for TotT during the first steps and I just calculated with 2 of them.

    Manipulation
    Comfort Zone
    Waste Not
    Steady Hand II
    Hasty Touch
    Hasty Touch
    Hasty Touch
    Hasty Touch
    Hasty Touch
    Manipulation
    Steady Hand II
    Hasty Touch/Basic Touch
    Hasty Touch/Basic Touch
    Hasty Touch/Basic Touch
    Hasty Touch/Basik Touch

Depending on my overall TotT triggers I use Hasty or Basic Touch

    Steady Hand
    Great Strides
    Innovation
    Byregot's Blessing
    Careful Synthesis II

    398 CP
    452 Craft
    412 Control

I was able to 100% HQ 2 of 4 Caviar with 663/5783 start qualitiy, the others had 40 and 80% success.

Are there some things which I could improve in this rotation?

    Some things I do different:

-PbP outside SH, it gives you a lot more flexibility in getting to the point where you refresh CZ outside SH or use a durability gain outside SH
    -Use MMII
-Save 2 CSII for the end, so you can use the first to fish for Good/Excellent condition. Don't save more than 2, cause it's a lost ToT chance

I use Rapid Synthesis x4 to start off my progress so it allows me to save CP overall. Also I will refresh Comfort Zone throughout the synth if I have enough durability and CP to get full use of it. I tend to use Master's Mend II twice or even three times in the entire Synth if I happen to have 240+ CP after the hasty spam following the first Master's Mend II. Apply Comfort Zone before each Master's Mend II if you have 240+ CP remaining as well.

Another thing, don't bother using Steady Hand II if you have less than 50 durability left on the synth unless you're going for the Byregot's finisher shortly afterwards. Sometimes it's best just to let your hasty touches go without it to save CP for another Mend II.

This is exactly what I do too. Also if I get excellents after SH2 runs out I tend to hasty then as well.

    PM me in game m8

Will be easier to explain the basics, but your doing things a lot differently than I would anyways. (Though you can probably still HQ like that, many ways to skin a cat and all.)

Miqo'te skinning aside, I heartily endorse the idea of Rapid Synthesis x4 + Careful Synthesis II (with no Ingenuity at all). Having mathing out many, many different combinations that lead to full progress on 4* items with 451 craftsmanship, Rapid Synthesis x4 led to the most quality on average with the least needed Tricks of the Trade. Chances are very high to HQ using all NQ mats, and you have ample time to reclaim if you fail too many 80% actions or do not get enough Tricks.

Using Master's Mend II twice and no other Durability gainers, you can squeeze 16 80% actions. If 0-2 fail, but you get enough Tricks (5, but 6 lets you use Innovation), you will still hit 100% even with a normal for your BB. If 3 fail, you will hit about 95% if you started from 0 quality (~600 initial quality = 100%), and if 4 fail, you will hit about 80% (~1,100 initial quality = 100%). You can have SIX of the 16 fail and still hit 100% if you started with all HQ items.

Of course, unless you want to bank on an extra Trick (average for a 40 step rotation is 7 tricks, but that's only the average), and you have my offhand melds (4 control, 15 craftsmanship, 3 CP), you will need one Artisan body piece for the rotation's CP requirements, and you may have to do some HTs under SH1 instead of SH2 to squeeze out a few extra CP anyway, but ignoring all that, you should be fine.

But the basics of the rotation that I'm now using are: Rapid Synthesis x4, Hasty Touch x12 (minus however many Rapids fail), Comfort Zone x3, Master's Mend x2, and Tricks of the Trade x4-6 (if x6, use Innovation to pad the Byregot's Blessing).

Thanks Nya. Is this for 4 Star Turn-Ins for the Books or just regular 4 Star Recipes?

Regular 4*. The Master Book II turn-ins are technically 3*, though with double (I think?) progress/quality requirements, so they're actually much harder than 4*.

So far i hq'd 9x 4 star items for friends and fc mates and i might have been luck or w.e but i just started it off like my old 3 star rotation.

    CZ > IQ > pbp > RS > RS > CS

Don't even need ING2 until you want to finish the synth.

Don't use ingenuity 2 at all on 4 stars.
