Someone please tell me I'm not the only one who has issues with this fish. I've spent hours across a week, going on nearly 40 bites now, and every single time it has been

No one else in my fishing LS has had this much trouble with it. At this point, I'm ready to chuck a stack of Potent Poisioning Potions down the hole.

Yeah, it took me about 20 times with it on the hook before it finally gave in. It just has a naturally high escape rate. Hang in there! Its Fish Guide entry will make you chuckle when you can finally get there

The ridiculously low catch rate is to make up for the fact that it's a three-star that can be fished up at any time during any weather. Small comfort, I know. :P

Probably because the official name of it is The Matriarch, so you would find it in the T section instead of M. For reference, it's this fish: http://en.ff14angler.com/fish/282

And gathering is irrelevant, 399 is more than enough for old fish.

None of the other any time/any weather fish gave me problems. 1X missed might have been my highest but Matriarch just takes it to another level. >.<

Edit: Finally caught it after 44 tries! Never again.
