Thread: Has anyone else noticed that joining an In Progress Roulett doesn't work for Healers?

it works. i wasn't able to join the in-progress someone needed help with. but i did get thrown in to someone else instance all together. also it's probably better to select the specific instance you want when trying to help someone. but it works.

When someone drops, party leader has to hit the button to replace them before anyone can join in progress.

Your healer probably got grouped with a partial party. If you want in progress for a specific dungeon, do it, not the roulette.

they have to select the specific instance, i find myself doing this for FC members a lot lately. and it works on my scholar.

No you, k? Two dps were likely sitting waiting on a reserved instance, and your healer joined it, still waiting on the tank. That instance probably wasn't the one that you were in, so if this healer had selected just that single dungeon instead of trying to get the roulette bonus on top of it, she would have joined you.

If a rouletteable instance is lacking a party member, then they should get into that instance.

She didn't get any duty pops at all, leading me to believe that registering for a roulette with in-progress ticked is just (mostly) broken for healers.

The fact i've been having the same issues with the duty finder only reinforces that belief

How long did she go without a pop, and was she grouped with 2 dps waiting on a tank? Not broken, just not set up where you can game the system 100%.

Here, let me highlight it for you.

Requested a healer to join via linkshell and she tried to join via low roulette with in progress selected, and.... nothing happens. Not even a duty prompt for some other party.

Since you cant seem to grasp what Stoutertaru is saying let me lay it out for you. You join as a tank with 2 dps and no healer in another party there are just 2 dps waiting for a tank and a healer not in progress. You friend marks in progress roulette and joins the 2 dps<They still don't have a tank so no duty pops>. Which means the group of 2 dps were waiting for a healer before the group of in progress. The DF doesn't prioritize in progress > newly formed. Just because your friend didn't have a duty pop doesn't mean that they didn't join a party waiting for an instance.

The healer did not get another party, none!, none in a reserved instance, none in an inprogress instance.
