ya it didnt stack with spike spells, but that was the spell he was after. I also wouldn't imagine that it would stack with spikes in xiv, but it would do more damage than spikes dependent on how hard the mob was hitting.

Because we don't have Paladin yet? Paladin will come out after patch 1.20.

this does not have to be a copy of ff11, glad could have it, and it doesn't have to work the same either. I don't know why people argue such dumb stuff. I hope they dont just copy all the paladin abilities and paste them in 14.

Because it has to deal with the game balance. Paladin was an advanced class in FFXI, Gladiator in FFXIV is not. Tank =/= DD, you already have many way to contribute damage in the fight. If you are asking for an edge over the other classes, people will do the same for their own classes, and it will end up in a mess when they try to balance things out.

For instance I also want my LNC to have a LNC-only Wyvern pet that do extra damage and heal me. On top of my already high DPS and HP absorb.

If you are asking for an edge over the other classes, people will do the same for their own classes, and it will end up in a mess when they try to balance things out.

I don't think having 1 defensive DD ability would give glad an edge and make everyone jump off the arch bandwagon. It's an ability that plays into the style of battle that glads have. It would be up to the developers to balance it so it doesn't do to much damage to through the game out of whack.

They are struggling to even balance out the current abilities system. New skills will come with new jobs, after they balance the current ones out. No, new jobs won't come even at 1.20, they already mentioned it will be after 1.20.

Let's face it, you want buff for your class, everyone else does as well. Heck, MRD and PUG has been literally crying out just to have adjustment for their CURRENT abilities.
