    SE talking about most Rare drops coming from instanced fights is also a massive negative.... I love half the things this dev team does and the other half I just question completely. Devs seem to only think things through half way most the times in this game.
    If you're against the new claming system, then why are you against rare stuff dropping in instanced fights? If we can't help you with the mob, do you want us sitting around waiting for you until you're done with it?

    Also they could add a /blockaid command too and then no one except party members can attack your mob.

    ^ exactly this. If they were to implement a no-restrictions open-world PvP system then I would have to quit the game. Imagine trying to go out and gather, no wait you're dead. Imagine trying to go out and grind on monsters, no wait you're dead. Imagine trying to do ANYTHING outside the city, no wait you're dead.

    The only PvP I'd be okay with is either in a specific area designed for PvP and duels. Both of those would require players to consciously accept or go to that area.

    That part I completely agree I hate how we have to zone to the mission area, market, grand company HQ... wonder what other stuff they planning for us to zone from that same damn place... I thought it was going to be seemless maps but this game has loading point all over the place...

    For me the instanced NM was thinking more like how the faction NM or guildleve works where it's still on open map with other players but only you and your group gets to do the NM/HNM/etc (or see the NM until you hit/make the initial attack) so you can still get helped from outside but since you/your group is the initial starter the reward (if dropped) will come to you. At least this way they can't steal your NM + help to kill the damn thing faster so they get their turn if its one group per instance (hope not, and hope it's random area pop so NM's pop different area's instead of same place as other group) and personally I'm against the 24 hour pop; done it for years and years maybe some like it but for me with real life it was too much, still might be good for those game life only hardcore players but for me, personally, no thanks. If they added a content like that, then so be it, few will like, few will never get to do them. Can't make both sides happy every time.

    Adding this: Only concern I have for Open map NM/HNM is if the NM/HNM uses AOE attacks often and it's type of NM/HNM where you need a good tank tanking the NM/HNM and you have other people from outside helping... wouldn't it screw up the hate system and make it harder for the tank to keep hate, resulting in the NM/HNM running around using AOE killing everyone in the party. Hope they are thinking this far, this can be applied to regular high level mobs too. And can result in MPK unless like other mentioned they add /blockaid

    I think the problem is that there aren't more of these pre-defined groups. I can't really think of many, if any at all, monsters outside of dungeons and leves that are grouped aside from a few NMs. They just need to take the SP restriction off unclaimed monsters and all will be right.
