FFXI Armor for Mages?

I would love to see more brought over. The Ares and Kornig sets(Wootz Mail/Cuirass sets respectively) look amazing with FFXIV graphics. I will not stop until I have them both for my drg and pld.

I would really like to see the Byrnie/Hauberk, Aketons, Gi-types, Scorpion Harness, and even the Aht Urghan styled gear. FFXI had a bunch of really great looking armor stuffs that, I think, would be gorgeous on this graphics engine. Long, flowing Vermillion Cloak anyone?

I especially want to look like Leonoyne, the leader of the Savage Hound Condotties. He was my favorite general, and just an overall badass.

That's the "Thick" armor set. It was high ~60'ish gear for DRK/WAR/PLD (I think BST could wear it, too). Agreed, that's a really nice set. I'd love to see more XI-themed sets in game, like this one. Maybe they'll give us the XI-themed AF gear sets. :P Some of them wouldn't be any different from the ones in game now, like PLD. But I'd prefer a more traditional BLM set. Or THF. lolBRD

Not a mage set but make it so the Sha'ir attire I loved it on my bard and the Opo opo crown I love how dainty the girl version is.

While seeing a lot of these screenshots brings back memories, it also makes me appreciate just how much more amazing the gear looks in FFXIV. I used to think FFXI's Seer's gear was gorgeous, now it pales in comparison to pretty much anything we have in Eorzea.

One thing I always hated about FFXI is how there were no actual robes. Even as a WHM, I was forced to wear pants. And while we're talking about WHM gear, let's not forget the 'condom hat'. *shudders* FFXIV WHM AF > FFXI WHM AF
