FFXI Armor for Mages?

Since end game armor really only boils down to coil/tome sets it is always really nice to get sets like these for glamor purposes, and as a ffxi vet i love these throwback sets (wootz curiass and mail) but was wondering where is the throwback for mages?

Maybe something like the Igqira Weskit for BLMs?



never really did anything except blm and sam so if you can think of another iconic mage set from ffxi i would love to see ideas.

hmm while i like this idea... id like to see our Armors be more ff14 related and given some more thought into game specific ideas.

But, i would love to see some of that sexy samurai/monk/ninja armor level 70 stuff the green run ill see if i can find a picture ot edit later ;o

You talking about the Usukane set? i literally quit the game because i realize i would never get this for my sam T_T



I was just more so talking about the throwback "wootz" sets... all other sets i would like to see stay with ffxiv's lore.

The Ares and Koenig sets (The Wootz armors for DRG/Tank) were salvage/sky respectively so in-line with that it might more sense for them to have something like the Nashira set from Limbus or the Shadow Coat set from Einherjar if they're going for a "Throw-back to XI 75 Endgame feel". The Igira armor was very iconic (To me at least) back in XI's "peak", I wouldn't mind seeing it in this game either.

most of the armor put in is 14 related, but i don't mind having the crafted equipment be armor from 11. I'd like to see all of the Salvage and Abjuration gear added alongside some of the other popular pieces like the aforementioned Igqira set or even lower level things like the Eisenbrust set would be cool to see again.

yeah i figured i was gonna mix up expansion sets... that was many brain cells ago LOL, that shadow set is sex tho.

I'd love to see the next AF gear set for DRG in 14 to look more like the one from 11, 11's style was better imo, a case of less is more. It also, for females, doesn't have one very fatal design flaw right in the centre like 14's does.

With a bit changes here and there and other colors and maybe more clothes around the arms, why not? ^^

Here are a few sets from FFXI I wouldn't mind seeing for NIN/MNK/SMN/SCH/WHM/BLM since those jobs didn't get a design set from XI just yet, since SE decided they wanted to do it for tanks/DRG.

I always did love the Nashira set, even if I never got it! Or maybe I just like midriffs.
