Question about "Botting"

Hello, i am relatively new to the game, but not MMOs. I see alot of "bots" in game. Just random people standing still, while not afk for long periods of time, who run to harvesting points and harvest the same x amount of points per whatever the refresh timer is.

Is it perfectly acceptable to run bots in this game? If not, should we report people whom we suspect are botting or how does that work?

Yes you can report them and should report them

Yes from time to time i see some as well.
Sometimes botanists but more often then not thaumaturges/black mages and all dressed the exact same
Best to report them.
Basically it is a program they use and there is just 1 operator at the other end, they can even generate or spawn enemies

The "accounts" may be banned, but the "players" always always always come back with different accounts & the same RMT tells.

The gathering bots are still gathering... those 4 clone mage teams are still queuing... & the 4 mage/choco team is still macro/bot spiritbonding at the Mor Dhona plasmoids.

Take care with your reports, gathering in this game is very repetitive, some ppl just act like botters while gathering, bots usualy gather shards, as lvl50 gatherers in starter gear and without FC and GC, and some move underground someway... you can't see them, but you can see the effect in the gathering points and hear the noise they make.

It is not acceptable to run bots according to the terms of use, but in practice they are allowed to operate for months despite being reported many times. It is a waste of time to report them.
