Question about "Botting"

I have a very large collection of blacklisted people. All those blacklisted people on my blacklist are names of the RMT spammers who spamed my private message chat in the past.

I even managed max out my blacklist list! (200 names)
I contacted SE through the Support desk and reported every single name on my blacklist. I even organized those names in Alphabetical order for them to make it easier for them.


To this very day, all those names in my blacklist are still visible. Meaning, if they got banned by SE, it would shown (deleted) multiple times in my entire blacklist list.

What gives SE? I'm trying to help out but you seem to do nothing about it!


Just food for though, you could tell right off the bat that those names are spammers.
Who in the right mind would name a character "Fdgdf Dfgd" ?
That is obviously a Spammer type of name, no doubt.

Nope. (Deleted) is only for characters that are actually deleted. They generally don't delete characters when they ban an account, because banning the account is enough to keep that character from doing anything.

Feel free to report them, but don't expect SE to do anything about it. I've reported bots often enough, they'll still be there days, weeks later.

I don't remember where/when but I know there was a live letter where someone asked about SE taking action against RMT spammers, and the answer was to keep reporting them and include the tell text they sent you so that they can continue to create algorithms to block the tells they send. It's a lot of work, I know, but the more information they get the better.

As for bots, I believe they request we send in character names with times and zones they were seen in.
