I'm genuinely curious, I got a bahamut minion from purchasing the OST and I don't think it is attainable in the game without purchasing the OST, is the minion then considered a form of micro transaction? since it is content not available to everyone and if so, why don't I see mobs denouncing the act of bundling minions and in game vanity with merchandise?

So, are people genuinely against content (vanity) that are unattainable in game or are they simply hating the term micro transactions?

You aren't paying for the minion though, you are paying for a physical item and the minion is thrown in as a bonus, an incentive for you to buy the OST. Heck, the basic fact that the Windup Dalamud code expired on the end of the year that the OST was released shows that. If SE was "selling" the Dalamud minion, they'd leave the code to be active forever.
