If you ate actual cooked food it lasts for usually around 30 minutes. Raw stuff only lasts for 5 minutes and gives you negative stats sometimes.

How are you almost rank 50 and you've never eaten a piece of food?

I just looked up a food item and nowhere do I see the effects. Can you tell me where it tells the effects of the food in YG site?

Do you expect to use a piece of food that's 1k and get HP+500 and STR+50?

The food system is exactly like XI. It works perfectly fine.

Why complain about this?

Why not complain about how the DEX+4 on your haubergeon isn't giving you 100% accuracy?

Or why the attack+5 on your neck piece isn't making you kill the mob in 1 hit?

Heck no it doesn't. It's overly complicated to the point no one really uses it. Though the easy fights also contribute to that.

There's optimal rank in food, races, favorite food, etc. It's overly complex.

If you put your mouse over the image (or just click on it) it says Boosts: ----
It's right under Optical Rank.. and typically the higher rank the dish is, the most stats it gives.

When I am synthing items significantly above my rank, the pineapple juice that I get from my Culinarian friend is often the difference between being able to complete it or not. It absolutely makes a difference. My gear is heavy toward the +control +craftmanship stats, and I use juice to balance out my mag. craft stat.
