Eye patches for all?

Q22: Are there any plans to remove restrictions on the glamour system (unable to glamour gear that the job/class cannot equip)?

A22: Unfortunately, there’s a certain image that we would like to sustain for FINAL FANTASY XIV. We feel that it would confuse the new players if they see casters in heavy armor and tanks in mage gear.

However, if there’s any specific gear you would like to glamour, we will consider those requests individually so please request them through our official forums.

Since eye patches don't really break the look or immersion of any specific role, could you please make them equip-able by all classes, at least for the white rarity ones? As an addendum to this, could you also remove class restrictions for all eye wear that's of white rarity?

I was actually just about to post this. I also would like all eyepatches to be made available for all classes... I like to use an eyepatch as part of my "character", but they aren't available to mages so.... yeah. Please do this.

If you're interested, healers get to have the Pilgrim's Eyepatch, from Brayflox HM, Amdapor City and Halatali HM.

But yes, eyepatches across all the classes would be neat to have.

I can get behind a simple request like this. I think there should be some special consideration for head pieces that can be classified as eye wear. (Glasses/Eye Patches/Masks)

I support this. I'd like to see eye patches and monocles be made wearable by all classes/jobs. I'd also like if there was a toggle feature to switch which side of the face they appear on. (I thought we got our wish with the gryphonskin eyepatch but it appears on the wrong side of my character's face. His scar is on the other eye lol.)

While that's a nice start, it covers the other eye, and is only one style. My personal experience with that style of eye patch is that it's so large it clips through almost any hairstyle with long bangs. Plus if you look at the crafting requirements, it's quite difficult and expensive to make.

About the expensive part, that is not expensive at all, they are all cheap material if you farm them yourself

The materials for the hard hippogryph leather and the darksteel ingot can be obtained with GC seals. Raptor sinew is easily farmed. A Fieldcraft II demimateria can be picked up on the market board for 2-4k. So can twinthread if you can't make it. The difficulty on the item is two-star which overall is very easy to put together now, especially since it's a glamour item and therefore does not need to be high quality. It's really not difficult/expensive to make at all.
