    Please Help!

    Can anyone help?

I have had multiple instances on WHM were my target ( white arrow ) was on a player but i've cured myself - I have removed "Enable auto target when no target specified" but i am still having this probleme. I have experimented and can not find any reason why this is happening - I have noticed this happens at any distance from the target this can also happen after a sucessfull cure has hit the target and the target focus has not changed - please anyone offer any confirmation if this is a bug? or is this something i am doing wrong? I main WHM but can not keep playing this job as it appear to the other people in the party that i am curring myself not the target as a result I am receiving much greif and people leve the runs because they think i'm bad at my job : (

    Thank you

YES. I've had this happen to me several times before. I'm not sure of the cause of it, but I'm starting to wonder if it's like a lag, where it hasn't caught up to the selected target. I notice it usually happens at the worst moment when I'm in a hurry to cure someone - AND it's most definitely targetting someone (as I clicked the party list name for targeting AND I had the white arrow on them before casting). It will cure me, then if I'm still spamming the hotkey, the next cure will go to them.
    It's annoying.

I don't know the cause or fix, though, but I can say that this does happen on occasion to me, as well.

replace all your buttons with <t> macroes

if you use <tt> in macroes it breaks it also breaks it, and will cast on yourself out of range/los.

no the problem is with the d-pad as the default target input for healing. since it's 4 buttons connected to the same peice of plastic, the opportunity for error is super high. if you roll your thumb slightly over left/right you consistently target yourself or the wrong tgt. this is just another reason right thumb tgting needs to be a thing.... ... 3 updates ago.

There's an old thread here about this. Not much there, though. A few people assuming it's macros (when, in this case, it wasn't), and no real resolution or fix.

If you are using <t>/<tt> macros, it's pretty much guaranteed to happen at some point. Individual macro lines are sent to the server one after another with not much processing. If you've got <t> and <tt> in the same macro, you're going to happen to hit it at exactly the right moment for the server to accept the <tt> and not the <t> while you've got a player targeted. And <tt> will be a monster, and curing a monster means curing yourself. I'm not sure if the new (as of 2.38) /macrolock command would help with that in any way.

If you're not using macros, it's a freaky mystery, and I don't think anyone's found a reason or a solution.

10 posts per page is only the default setting; it is bad, and you should feel bad if you haven't changed it.

I wouldn't take their opinions too much to heart, though it's infuriating when you try your damndest... just to be treated like garbage - Healers and tanks (as well as both of those classes towards each other, sometimes) take the brunt of most of the lashing out that most players seem to resort to. /soothe

My repose macro keeps activating itself. I have it set to mark the target and announce in party chat that I'm sleeping something, so it's rather embarrassing when I suddenly yell out that I'm sleeping the tank.

I have never mistargeted with the d-pad. Not once.

    Thanks, Bixby!
The linked post pretty much nailed what happens to me - and I'm assuming the OP.
I'm just going to assume it's failwebs and packet loss.

I'm also just going to say that we're faster than lightning at healing xD; (kidding)
