I think I hit 20k before Big Fishing was released. I did a lot of fishing in my early days as a way to make money and explore the map. I was not too concerned with completion. In fact, if I was fishing up anything other than a fish I knew I could sell on the market, I felt like I was wasting my time! I was also working on getting the Luminary rod.

I must have fished up thousands of red and white coral, and I remember when I caught a Titanic Sawfish completely unexpectedly when I was out fishing silver sharks for market...back in December 2013! Here is the blog post I made about it (link). I held onto that fish and never sold it because I wanted to keep it since it was my biggest fish record at the time...which was lucky because when big fishing came out I had a titanic for the quest already!

I finally started to work on log completion soon after Big Fishing came out.
