    Steaming Off - Wrecked Experience

There are also people who wants to rush the dungeon, I had my share of frustration of people who just keep rushing at the boss while we (new players) are watching the cutscene and the boss will be sealed from us (watching people slay a boss is not amusing to say the least).

But I was so frustrated beyond measure when I reached the last two quests, the most important of all, when I found out that people farm them with new reqruits for the 100 tomes bonus. I requested politely from the start to be allowed to watch the cutscene but to no avail, the kept rushing. Cutscenes flawing one after another not knowing why/where/who. TOTALLY WRECKED THE ENDGAME STORY!!!.

Oh and thinking of using party finder to find people to go through slow and easy, well it is rare for people to join in those so the invitation will expire and will lead to more frustration.

Not everyone. I pull a party group together to control tanks and healing for praetorium so that it cannot be forced. Typically the effort results in a full group of 8 that doesn't mind watching the cut scenes again.

Everyone else gets warned on the onset that the majority of the party is letting our new players enjoy the experience.

Unless you started playing back in 2.0, yea. I really feel sorry for the new players these days

If you want to wait and watch cutscenes that is perfectly fine. However, you should also respect that other people want to get out of the dungeon as quickly as possible so they can do maximize their farming potential. If it weren't for those people that wanted to farm that content you may have been sitting in que even longer or stuck in pf that never gets full liked you tried. If you want to watch cutscenes either get some helpful people in your fc or friends that are willing to lend a hand (6/8 of members should be enough to prevent people from going ahead) or you just watch the cutscenes in the inn at your leisure.

People been complaining. There is nothing we can do, that's a bad game design (putting cutscenes mid-dunegons).
$E learned and they dont do it anymore in the new dungeons, they just put a timed "on-line" cutscenes that end automatically (as in, you don't control how fast it "rolls") so even those who watch can;t take more than a few seconds.

I'm not sure if you're aware but you can watch them at the inn, just throwing that in case you didn't know and missed some.

$E already replied something about the majority of the party rules so there is no panelty for doing that.

Think of it that way - if it weren't for those cutscenes skipers you'd probably wait ages for a run ( > . >

If you insist on watching mid-dungeon and not in the inn I'm afraid the only way is to Party Finder it and hope some generous players help you, that or ask in LS/FC.

Before anyone jumps, I'm not for or against, just providing him solutions, cutscene skipping are here to stay and have to deal with that.

With my FC we made a party to watch Castrum Meridianum and Praetorium cutscenes in action. It was awesome! (Only Ultima died a lot faster than I remember :/ )

7 people wanting to go through a dungeon at an agreed pace: selfish and inconsiderate.

1 person demanding that 7 people slow down and wait for them: not selfish and inconsiderate.

Most DF parties never communicate, so I would say in that case there is no "agreed pace" is most situations.

I'm a new player but I'm not going to take either side specifically. All I'll say is that if you join a party in DF, know what you're getting into. If you're farming then expect there to be people who want to watch the cutscenes, especially when you get the "One or more players is new to this duty" message. If you're a first-timer to the dungeon, expect that there may be people who don't want to wait for you. Both sides need to communicate what they want to do, and be able to adapt in DF. If you can't deal with that regardless of what side you're on, then contact your FC and/or use PF to find more like-minded individuals.
