Wow, you must have *looks at character's page* ... done barely anything in the game at all!
Obviously, the game isn't for you and there's nothing we can really do about it. So, uh... good luck in whatever you decide to do next!.. I guess?

Heavens no
Just started my sub back up actually! Plan to actually...try to do things this time.
Been playing since 2.0 and I'm bored. This game doesn't offer anything different that a freemium mmorpg for tablet and cell phone has except prettier graphics. Clash of Clans and Game of War our both popular and have 3million active players because there is more freedom and customization then traditional MMORPG's that big developer make. At the end of the day Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn is like a guy/girl that looks good but extremely shallow so the relationship is doomed from the start. This game needs more depth, freedom and customization to stop the revolving door.
I actually sort of wish there was more time between content updates. lol
Between my main and alts, it's a tad difficult to keep up with more than just poetic cap.

I'm...on the fence usually about the game being boring. I find it boring because it's a tomestone grind the newest dungeons get dull. So I find other things to grind for gear. And then that's done...
I'm not interested in hardcore crafting nor beastmen quests...so that's not gonna cover it.
And before someone mentions how I still have four fighting jobs to level (one of which being NIN) and the other crafting, yeah, those are the jobs I least want to level. So when everything is mostly done except for those jobs...then I decide that other games are better. Add to that that the jobs have to be leveled in the same goddamn dungeons as my other 50's and I'm finding it hard to motivate myself to go into them.
And as for crafting, I just don't feel like it adds anything to my game aside from the incessant need to farm Ixali beastmen stuff, which I'm super not into because it's the worst type of grind ever.
I just think the update model as it stands right now isn't very attractive for long time investment between patches. Shiva EX was a disappointment. At least Ramuh EX kept people busy with how difficult he was... Shiva's a joke.

Game's refreshing compared to the massive letdown WoD was for me (and many others).
Frankly, I dunno how people can complain here, even if technically there is only one "current competitive relevent raid content" at any patch given, and no horizontal progression, for new players (or new classes you're gearing up) you still have plenty of possibilities to gear up along the way.
Aside gearing up, I find the game's environment and design (armors, weapons, races, buildings etc) beautiful. Soundtrack is fairly decent (even though I'd love to replace some tracks with older FF games' ost). Even if you're just AFK'ing, you're not looking at some stretched pixelated texture applied on cubic 3D model from 2004. I love my character, I can't stop looking at him
In the end, a MMORPG, or a solo player RPG is about finding goals and enjoying what you're doing, be it gearing up, discovering new places, acquiring new vanity items, talking to friends / your favorite NPC? I dunno.
Feel free to read wow's genperal discussion and you'll find out WoD is currently wayyyyy worse than FF14. Bored people talking about unsubbing every day. And they get hundreds of upvotes too. Before threads get deleted
My guess id you're REALLY BORED at the moment, you either did get through most of the content (or the one you wanted to go through at least) OR are just burned out from the game itself or MMORPG genre altogether.
Take a break for a couple of months (or more) until new content get released and / or play some other (maybe not online) game![]()
Nah it offers enough challenges to keep me on my toes.

Beside Coil and capping your Poetic, there isn't much to do in the game. Coil also required a good static, times, and dedication that most people do not have. Some people are also not into Raid that much especially in FFXIV where its just frustrating required everyone to be perfect or it wipe the whole party.

Not really bored, but the current set up of dungeons and gear treadmill isn't really what I am too big into. Mostly looking forward to Chocobo breeding, Gold Saucer and seeing more interesting side content. I have kept up with capping poetics but I can't say I am really too fond of dungeons after the first couple runs.
I'm mostly staying around because of my FC and hopes for that future content, though I've mostly been disappointed with their implementation of a lot of the things I had interest in seeing.
