Weirdly low drop rates.

I may be doing something wrong, but I'm mining grade 3 nodes in the Black Shroud which are supposed to be really good for silver ore/sand. So far I've mined 6 nodes but I have yet to see a single ore or bit of sand. My miner is rank 29 and I'm targeting the sweet spot for silver ore every time. I've heard people getting silver 25% of the time, but for some reason that just isn't happening at all for me. Am I doing anything wrong?

probably the location you are, not all nodes have silver. The eastern most nodes I know have alot of silver sand as I go back there for sand to make electrum nuggets.

Also, try www.disciplesoftheland.com and check the maps and logs tab. You can select the location, grade and desired item and it will show you which specific nodes will give you what you need. This database covers all DoL classes and I use it constantly. Remeber though: If you don't see the node, it may be exhausted. If so, just roll out to another point (or 2) and then head back!
