    Crafting Gear Glamour

Is there any way we can get level 50 crafting gear glamourable? These are some of the best looking sets in the game and some of the gear would look great on other classes such as SCH or WHM.

In order for us to be able to glamour anything in game, the item we glamour needs to be a higher ilvl than the item it's going to appear as, as well as the item being for X classes only.

That would mean that they'd have to change what classes can use the gear, which would be a bit odd seeing how they're named after class specific things, like 'Leatherworker's Shirt' being on a monk... it just wouldn't seem right.

Like if you were asking them to make one item being able to have multiple glamours, I'd be on board for that since I'm working on getting the ilvl 60 Artisan items, but the glamour I have on my sandals only works for my Leatherworker.

I keep getting people saying stuff like "Well it says leatherworker" on it or stuff like "It wouldn't look right with mages wearing tank gear" when you have tanks things like tanks being able to glamour bikinis over their armor, chocobo suits, snowman heads, etc. it doesn't make sense visually or in a technical sense, so I think just having the appearance of a nice coat or leather boots from the crafting set would just be as viable, aside from namesake. To be fair they don't have to change what classes can equip it, they could just change what classes could glamour it, it's not like it's impossible.

Also I agree with the multiple glamours as well. It's kind of a pain having to get multiple of the same item just to glamour over it or even switch between two different ones whenever you switch between say sch and whm.

Also I believe it was higher level not ilevel, though I could be mistaken.

This is a quite complicated thing...
For one I am on the favouring side to the idea of glamouring the DoH and DoL sets on the DoW and DoM gears.
SE answered something about glamours on the latest letter to the Devs along the lines of:

"There is an image we are trying to take care of in FFXIV, so we won't allow a Mage to glamour in ways to look like a Tank, or the other way around"

Altho the rule of a Mage not looking like a Tank doesn't apply when DoW or DoM glamours DoH or DoL gears, it does kick in if DoH or DoL glamours gears within themselves, which is something that would side-strike be they allowed to be glamoured into other classes.

However they also said something like:

"If there is a specific gear you would like to glamour with, we can do something if you post about it in the forums".

So I see no reason not to ask for them anyway...

Also, about the "Tank not looking like a Mage" thing... Halloween set anyone :v? (I love having my MNK with his pointy hat and his magical star-summoning punches of purification)

On that note, however, does makes me believe that in order to "bypass" their own rule, they will need to create new items for event quests or crafting gears that are clones of the DoH and DoL sets and are for DoM or DoW lvl 1 with no stat bonuses.

This is a fantastic idea and I am all for this.
