We should definently speculate alot more, just because the slight chance of devs being inspired by our thoughts.

It seems now that major change is on the horizon our devs have the opportunity to braid eorzea full of Final Fantasy elements, just like this eventual Odin thing, It reminds me of FF9 and how the evil queen wants to sort of enslave the Eikons to do her dirty laundry. I think it would be a winner move to add these kind of comprehensive themes into Eorzea.

I find it more similar to the Judges from 12. But all that armor is similar in style to Odin.

I agree with the suits of armor being similar to the judge style, but Legatus Darnus and the one from the Rank 46 mission helmets are exactly designed the same, minus the color and the angle of the horns, as Odins. It too coincidental to me.

But seriously, the two Legatus we've seen have pretty different helmets, and I don't think the intention is to base them off Odin any more than the other entries we've seen of such helmets and their frequency in history. I do think it'd be cool if the Primal they're trying to summon is Odin, however.
