That the Legatus' helms are EXACTLY the same shape and design of Odin's helm in FFXI, the boss Odin, not his rewarded helm.

I now think that Odin might be the ruler of the Garlean Empire, or the leader might have that nickname. The similarity is shocking to me, they most have some relation to odin. Maybe he is their avatar they worship?

I just checked and Odin's horns go up, while the Legatus' go down. It might be a stretch but you might have something their with the idea that he might be Garlemald's Primal.

Yeah I saw my brother fight the Odin Prime fight to summon him. When saw his face I literally said "STOP! Don't press anything!" I got up walked over to his tv and traced the horns and my brother immediately got the connection without me saying anything.

It's A. Yoshida. Most of the games he has worked on have these horn helmets. While they look cool I wouldn't read too much into it.

This would be a pretty traditional FF twist. Garleans call all Primals false gods while being lead by one who wants to destroy all the others.

However I think you'd need more to go on than just a helmet. They're also similar to the Judge helmets from FFTA and FF12.
