Depends on the flag carrying mechanics. If picking up the flag prevents you from performing actions while you hold it and also desummons pets, a Tank in Shield Oath or Defiance would be the best carrier.
lol so if we specifically add mechanics that directly devalue one class but not others the other classes will be better at the task? good logic there
That is called role balance, plus only the desummoned pets would be a new mechanic. Carrying objects (used in the Sylph Beast Tribe Quests and Easter Event) already disables actions.
I would love to see an 8v8 wolves den, could work in well with a duty roulette as they can put people from the popular GC in there while putting the less popular GC in the frontlines queue. I doubt the new pvp modes will be uncapped because it's likely going to be added to the duty roulette and people will be more likely to queue with an ilvl sync.

For those complaining about no new map:
"We’re currently in the midst of planning new maps for the expansion, and afterwards we are also planning to expand the Wolves’ Den."
You didn't read the first post very well. We ARE getting it, just not right away. Patience, guys :B
As for the topic, I agree with Ultimatecalibur. The map being the same with different rules will make a totally different game enough as it is. Also: Frontlines isn't going to be changed, I think a new separate que will be added for the new version. Like normal and hard mode instances.
Could simply disable actions and place the flag carrier at a specific and same Max HP regardless of job. Doesn't another MMO (WoW was it?) do something similar?
WoW places a stacking debuff on the FC the longer they hold it. Every stack increases damage taken. After a certain amount of stacks, it reduces you to walking speed, even under sprint.

Part of me wonders if new rules could mean a Frontlines with no GC restrictions, but I suppose if it's the same map than the lore wouldn't support it like a new battleground's lore could.
A true paladin... will sheathe his sword.
Made me wonder that too.
It would be a good sign they are listening to the pvp community but i'm not really holding my hopes up
I am pretty sure it will have gc restrictions too. Just think about it. Since new and old frontlines will be in the same pvp-roulette, they would have the same rules for entering aswell.
