So every party uses 4 Monks as their dps?DPS isn't important. I'm afraid they're going to add positionals. which is something that I've seen over and over on this forum as something the "majority" wants added. That would count as a "nerf", yes. Besides, parties tend to only want the *best* DPS, they're not going to take a third-rate class seriosuly. I already get dumped on for maining SMN as it is, I wanted to have a decent time playing melee while having to sit out the Ironworks fiasco. Damn me for being hopeful.
I doubt that.

Naw progression groups will still stick with the 2 monk 1 bard 1 caster/extra bard setup. Totally outways the 2% at best with god luck that TA give dps wise and even worse after the nerf causing ninja to suffer on tp

When has SE nerfing anything ever balanced anything? They nerfed BRD and SMN cross skills and now they're two of the lowest DPS classes in the game. The ONLY time adjustments ever balance classes is when they BUFF a job, like when they changed WAR to be on par with PLD.
NIN is just going to be another SMN after this, something that requires a ridiculous amount of effort all just to be subpar to other classes.
Lucky for you, then, that they removed the positional requirement for the buff and combo DRG has! You'll lose a slight bit of potency if you happen to miss it, but thats really it. There's also a whole two of them vs MNK's... well, all. NIN also isn't getting nerfed that hard, while I agree that it shouldn't have been touched at all, they're only getting what seems like slight potency loss from certain abilities. They also have TA and Goad, both of which DRG and MNK lack. I'd say NIN is still sitting pretty, wouldn't worry too much.

I wasn't aware that the substats on the Poetics caster gear actually DELETED YOUR SMN JOB, wow. I mean...that's what you mean by "unplayable", right? That the Poetics gear means you actually can't job-swap to SMN anymore?Sooo... first I can't play SMN because of the LOL that is the Ironworks set. (ffs split BLM/SMN gear already!) so I switch to NIN. Now NIN is getting nerfed, GG, whiners, for ruining the new class already.
I HATE tanking, dislike healing, and have played every other DPS class, but don't like any of them. DRG buffs won't change the fact that I loathe positionals. I've been playing since 2.0 launch, but am seriously considering unsubbing. It's just not fun anymore.
That's terrible. I'm glad my SMN doesn't have that game-breaking bug.
Your sarcasm is unappreciated. You obviously don't play SMN enough if you don't know about how the Poe gear adversely affects the class.I wasn't aware that the substats on the Poetics caster gear actually DELETED YOUR SMN JOB, wow. Hmmm.... Guys ..... Let's not forget about ninja trick attack... 10% for the whole party that's a lot of damage... No body going to take dragoon or anything else they still going to take ninja cause is just that great the nerf is expected I am main ninja I see no problem but yes I am salty but just move on....I already see the nerf before 2.4 so I am not surprise

LMAO.
A nerf on NIN? That class required people to actually play good to pull out DPS, otherwise they were useless. I'm okay with DRG getting buffs to bring you up to par, but getting another melee class nerfed because they required just as much effort to keep up that DPS? Whoever caused this has lost all respect from me. The bar is set really high for NIN, unless you have a good rotation and can keep it going (most NIN I see do not), you are not going to get that high DPS. They have to work just as hard as MNK and DRG for their high DPS, and now they're going to have lower DPS for it. What's next, nerfing MNK so DRG can stay top?
