Goad shouldn't be crossclassed. It adds a new responsibility of monitoring your raid's TP. I would very much enjoy NOT having to worry about that.

It sounds like your talking about making a new character to play as ninja. If so that's not necessary. You can level up all jobs on one character. In fact it's necessary to level up multiple classes in order to unlock jobs. You can also take skills you've learned from classes and use them with other classes.Level 16 PUG is apparently not high enough to create a thread of my own, so I'm forced to ask in a ninja based post, sorry!
I'm a new player trying to build a ninja, but I've just gone over the level 16 PUG cliff on my way to my airship pass. Can I still build up as a viable Ninja or should I just make this my Monk and level up a new Ninja? Not being able to get my Rogue job without the airship pass was a surprise -_-
Could you image the bitching that would occur when some people logged in and found that they changed their cross classes without asking for their personal consent first?
That is why no current jobs were changed to cross class with rogue.

I'm more curious as to why ROG only has 3 cross-class skills when most others have 4 or 5 (albeit one useless one in most cases). Also, not having a ROG with Death Blossom yet, how useful would a 60potency AoE be to other classes anyway, especially with a high TP cost?
It is 10 TP cheaper and 10 potency greater than Arm of the Destroyer and players leveling a Lancer/Dragoon pre-42 don't have any AoE capability.I'm more curious as to why ROG only has 3 cross-class skills when most others have 4 or 5 (albeit one useless one in most cases). Oh I know it's awful. The entire skill is a joke tbh IMO. It should be 100 potency without the trait, 140 with it. But right now DRG is pretty much the only job without an AoE until level 40. Just being able to cross-class it would change that. But I'd prefer to have that potency increased before it happens.
No one said anything about throwing the balance out the window. But you must admit some cross-class skills are more "fun" or what I should have written, "situational". One that comes to mind is Raise on a Paladin. If you happen to be out and about in the overworld and see a downed noob, sure its fun to help them out. But there is no combat/endgame value to that skill for the Tank of the party. That is what I meant by "fun".
